As for the Reserves, it was a good win, and long overdue, it has been a couple of months since a league victory.

 

In all fairness, we do have a pretty young side (I take the average age up quite considerably), and most of the lads are only used to playing park football, so this has been a step up for them.

 

We were expecting the early part of the season to be a struggle, which it was, it is just unfortunate that before Saturday, we had played 5 of the top 6 in the last 5 league games, and although performances were much better, we could not buy a result.

 

If we can get ourselves to a mid-table finish, or just below, I will be more than happy.

He wouldn't be interested in a move though as the club, from sat 1st team to sunday reserves, are full of old mates who have brought the club up through the leagues.

Still awaiting official Mole Valley v Hanworth report, but have been told the following by our manager.

Villa took the lead on 11 minutes through Higgs, Valley equalised on 31 through Jay Holden, and the sides then seemed to forget how to defend, with Kris Barry putting Valley ahead on 33, Buss equalising for Hanworth on 35, Barry restoring the Valley lead on 38 and Holden making it 4-2 on the stroke of half time.

Less chaotic second half, Woodard pulled it back to 4-3 on 72, Holden completed his hat-trick in the 89th to make it 5-3, and Buss notched his second in injury.

Yep, Cam's playing in the Reserves - and is doing ok, playing pretty well without getting the breaks - fortunately that changed on Saturday, and he scored a hat-trick (although i won't tell you how many he missed!!).

 

See you boys are still doing well. I told Mick i would get down for a few games this year, but then, foolishly, started playing again, so have not yet had the chance.

 

Hopefully will before the season's over.
