Cove 1 Horley 0 not our best performancr this season but a battling display from the Cove lads,Horley will probably be annoyed that they did'nt get anything from the game becuase they had us under the cosh most of the time, however the goal we scored deserved to win any game, from a sweeping move involving jj,marco, and ashley the ball was fed out to Alex Jeffers and his thunderous shot from 18yds gave the home keeper no chance.

Yes fair play Duncs it was a good goal you lot scored, but I got to be honest and hopefully you will agree that if we took our chances we could of won the game easily about 3 or 4-1,thought we defended really well and created about 5 or 6 real good chances not half chances, but its about taking them and that is why you are up the top and we are at the bottom. Good luck.

Green were given a tough game at Badshot Lea today with a late goal clinching all 3 points when a draw may have been about right. Still, this was the sort of game we may have lost last season and it keeps our recent good run going. Massive game at Stag Meadow this Tuesday night now against North Greenford Utd, all are welcome...

Just this on the site so far:

The First team, thanks to a hat-trick from Jay Holden and a brace from Kris Barry, won their top of the table clash with Hanworth Villa, by 5-4, which consolidates their position at the top of the table. With third placed Knaphill suffering a surprising 4-0 home defeat against local rivals Sheerwater, our position at the top of the table looks solid.

Hi All

Still awaiting official Mole Valley v Hanworth report, but have been told the following by our manager.

Villa took the lead on 11 minutes through Higgs, Valley equalised on 31 through Jay Holden, and the sides then seemed to forget how to defend, with Kris Barry putting Valley ahead on 33, Buss equalising for Hanworth on 35, Barry restoring the Valley lead on 38 and Holden making it 4-2 on the stroke of half time.

Less chaotic second half, Woodard pulled it back to 4-3 on 72, Holden completed his hat-trick in the 89th to make it 5-3, and Buss notched his second in injury.

Full match report will be on our site in the next couple of days.

RPV 4 v 5 Cobham

Excellant game for the neutrals on Sat (not so much for us GK!!).

Cobham just weren't at the races in the first half and were caught in possesion too many times on a sticky surface. RPV scored 4 and, but for some good 1 v 1 saves by the Cobham GK, (cough, cough) prob could have had another 3-4.

A change of personnel and formation at half time and attacking down the slope, Cobham started much better and had RPV on the back foot for most of the half. AT 4-3 down and 15 to go we were reduced to 10 men, yet still went forward with purpose and scored 2 in the last 10 - the winner being a min b4 the end.

Excellant result for us especially having lost our previous 2 games to very late winners. Showed a lot of desire and commitment having been feeling too sorry for ourselves in the first half!!!

Frimley 2 Crescent 1

Took the lead after 3 mins when centre half sliced into his own net just as the keeper called for it and Crescent equalised with 20 minutes to go so no clean sheet for me - again! Thanks defence!

With 10 minutes remaining freekick from the left was poked home by Alan Tomkins and the assistant flagged to say it crossed the line despite the best efforts of the goalie.

Crescent then had their left winger sent off for telling the assistant he was sh1t, although apparantly the goalkeeper said it, and the the Crescent manager was asked to leave the duggout for voicing his opinion at the assistant.

Two wins on the spin - crikey where did that come from? Back in Vase action next week
