Just to say we had a brilliant 'Supporters Trust' game today (Sunday 11 May) at the McApline.

 

Players past and present turned out to support us in our hour of need, which was welcome and very, very touching. It was our Wembley Wizards v Town All Stars. The WW were from players who played in the Div2 play-off final in 1995. The WW won 4-3 but of course the score was immaterial.

 

The real highlight of the day was the appearance of Frank Worthington - what a guy! He still has the silky ball juggling skills. Managed to have a quick chat with him before the game, like I say what a guy!

 

Great backing by a family crowd of 6,399 fans too! That should be a few thousand pounds in the old coffers.

 

Cheers and thanks to everybody at Fleets especially Graham S. for 'text messages' throughout the season. Good Luck for next year! I'm sure we've learned a lot and will be stronger for it next season!

 

My two teams are only one league apart now - I don't know whether to laugh or cry!
