Food again...

After a week of improvements to the food things were back to their usual way yesterday, in my opinion.

 

My cheeseburger tasted like it has been cooked at least a hour before I ate it, and when the bloke warmed it up it seemed he believed that 10 seconds on the griddle would be sufficient. Obviously it wasn't and my burger was stone cold!

 

Surely it's common sense that on a cold day like yesterday that other methods are going to have be thought of to keep the food warm rather than just leaving it exposed to get cold?

 

My brother was ill when he got in and it is thought that was caused by the Chips and hot dog he had at football.

 

Most disappointing, will we ever be getting a long term fix for this serious lingering problem?

jc and I had lukewarm cups of teas which was disappointing, probably the worst I've ever had at the ground actually. Wasn't nice making it on a sauce stained table with no mixers either...

tbh - and hopefully this doesnt turn into a bashing thread... the coffee's we had were blinking awful. It looked like hot milk and needless to say tasted like it too...

I had a hearty Sunday roast when I got home - cooked beautifully by Mrs HG, with a glass of delicious Merlot.

I've just been talking to Dean about the food and drink.

He's in the main kiosk by Geek's corner. If you have a problem in the future, please just ask for Dean and let him know the problem. He promises he will put it right immediately.

Cool... I expect the coffee was a one-off and it was warm at least - which was more than required Sunday!!

Yeah I agree Hempstead Gaz, the chips are good. Jo and I shared some and there were so many!

 

I was also impressed by the amount of people there were there to serve you, makes the queue go down a lot quicker.

Babysitting tommorrow, so no football for me for a week or 2.

I don't think it is too much to expect a hot drink to actually be hot, especially at the prices being charged.

I didn't go there yesterday. It seems that I made the right move.

Dunno, warm food shouldn't be a luxury though IMO

Been eduring Fleet gristleburgers for 40 odd years - my guts have an inbuilt immunity, and my taste buds are shot to bits.

Can't wait for a hot , meaty quarter pounder and chips which doesn't taste worse than the foam tray!!!

According to my son James the chips on Sunday were horrible !

...chips I had were the best I have had at the Fleet - good size, very good portion, well cooked and hot! The queue moved quickly too and it was half-time.

If you get a fresh batch, the chips are delicious, if they have sitting in the tray for 10 minutes.....well, ugh.

Hopefully the clkub will start running the food emporiums themselves - these must be money to be made from them, the Fleet might as well benefit as Joe Bloggs burgers Ltd.
