even tho we missed a few chances at scoring, im happy to come away with a draw at Horsham (Worthing). Think it was very even sort of game. Apart from the harsh tackles on our players!!

 

Hope we can get a few 3 points from our next few games, plus hopefully we can win against Sutton, because a certain person we all love to hate pays a visit!!

Horsham didn't need the little old lady - some of their tackling was x-rated. Michelle was called on the pitch six times in the second half, and with Urchins swarming all over the 30-miles-from-home goal, the referee ended proceedings five minutes early. He only added on three minutes - the injury to Tommo alone was more than three minutes.

 

The Horsham player who was stretched off was taken to hospital as a precaution, but the early diagnosis is that he has only got bad bruising to the ribs. Interesting to note that the delay was over five minutes, yet once again just the now seemingly mandatory three minutes was added on in the first half.

well to be fair we only took about 20 ourselves - just one of those games i guess

that was a raw day as well and only the hardy went out,thankfully i've got a good run of games comin up now

Was 'Monica from Worthing' at the game?

 

She was an 'old gal' that I met on the bus from Midhurst to Worthing (where she lives) whilst the HTFC programme hut keeper and myself were on our Harvey Hop down in Rogate and Midhurst.

 

Good ol' Sussex inland from the sea.

Yes, we think she was there - there was a person answering to that description - Max spotted her after 23 minutes when she was moving from behind the goal towards the west side of the ground.

 

But we did not think to ask her is she still lives on the bus from Midhurst. Is she does, then perhaps this should be reported to the social services.

Regretably, me and the other chap had to 'de-bus' at Pulborough railway station for our onward trip to do the Harvey pubs in Arundel so I never got to go all the way with her - but I managed to get her mobile number (and show her how to text)

before I got off.

 

A few weeks later we were 'Harvey Hopping' down in Brighton and Lewes and Monica was supposed to have joined us, but being a paranoid english woman she came up with some lame excuse about having a 'dental appointment'

 

1/10 for originality there.

 

Ah well, call it a 0-0 draw.
