Again a great team effort. Good to see Joe Flack & BWG back on the pitch.

Burb's was "On Fire" again. Just as well because it was FREEEEZZing.

Nice turn out of Blue Fan's & nice to see my old Boreham wood friends ( LOL )

Really important win for us this, we have to start getting results consistently to pull ourselves up the table. Thought the spine of our team was very good today - Tucker made some important saves, particularly one at 1-0 - Heffs and Duncan did well at CB, for the first time this season we've kept back to back clean sheets - Dormer was probably my motm, Deane had an excellent 2nd half and up from Billy and Rikki were both working hard.

I'm not going to get carried away just yet, but this was a very encouraging performance. Still room for improvement, and we need to keep working at it.

Tucker, Marron, Dumas, Heffer, Duncan, Dormer, Ferguson (Woods-Garness), Deane, Burbridge (Flack), Bricknell, Chatting (Semanshia)

SNU: Blackwell, Worster

The first half was quite probably one of the most boring half's I had seen for a long time. Both teams didn't really settle. Then again, in our favour, for the first time in a long time, we hadn't conceded a goal during this period.

Second half was much better and as the game wore on, we started to stretch their defence, first when breaking out of defence and then when moments of pressure. The fist goal was a shocker for them. Goalkeeper fumbled, their 3 and 11 were inndesisive in clearing to the point of a joke, Burbs recovered himself and laid the ball back for Fergie to stike a good finish. Our second was the killer, a low cross from Dumas which Bricknell converted on the back post.

Boreham Wood did have their chances but their finishing was woeful and we walked away with the three points.

In my opinion, we were worth the three points in all aspects 0f the game, including luck. Is our season turning around? For me, it's far to early to say but with a 5 - 0 victory in the Essex Senior Cup last Tuesday and yesterday's result, I think Jason, Grant and the players have gone some way to silence their critics for the present...

Two games on, both away from home, two wins, for 7, against nil.

I don't think you could ask for a better retort than that. I don't think anyone's going to get carried away just yet, but the fact that we've kept consecutive clean sheets is very encouraging.

The first half was a torpid affair but it was important that we didn't concede. A bit of comedy defending for our first and a well-worked second. Dumas is at his most effective when allowed to get forward and playing Dorms left side certainly encourages that. It seems a sensible formation to me, especially away from home.

Wednesday will be tough but we should be going there in good heart. Well done lads onwards and upwards.

Come on you Blues!!!

Great reaction from the players after whats happened in recent weeks.

Agree with all comments above, the first half was a bit like a friendly match with both sides not really getting into the game, good not to concede a goal though. Second half a totally different story with getting the two goals, playing better football.

I also thought Tony Tucker had a great game pulling off some excellent saves in the second half.

Cant ask for much more than what has happened, back-to-back clean sheets, away from home. It makes wednesday a lot more interesting.

Well done guys, keep it up.

I agree with Adam.s re Tony Tucker. He just brings a nice safe feeling to the team.

Just read the match report and flipped through the great pictures by Amanda.

Things are indeed looking good as promised by "The Management"

I think I'll put that into the 'classic away performance' brackett. A non-descript first half only notable for a glaring Boreham Wood miss. Second half much more entertaining, espcially the opening goal as the two Boreham Wood defenders played 'Chuckle Brothers'. Good awareness from Burbridge to poke the ball Ferguson. I thought the second goal was quality and shows what we are capable of when we get the ball down and play. Good to see BWG back and his outrageous 'skinning' of Mario Noto was worth half the entrance fee alone. The other half being Flack's 'hacking' of Noto! MOM for me was Bricknell who never stopped running. Yesterday was his 6th consecutive scoring game.

Overall we looked more solid and didn't look like collapsing at any given moment. Hopefully we can start to build up a bit of momentum.

I am well and truly looking forward to the game at Horsham on Weds. For two reasons:

1.Its my first game since i got back from the land of OZ.

2.The team seem to have renewed hope and belief that they can achieve a play off place.

So back to the terraces for me where i can rejoin the rest of the fans to cheer on our lads.

COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes things are starting to look up, but like most I won't get too carried away..well not yet anyway.

Truly shocking first half and then we seemed to switch on. Strong performance by Dormer and Deane they really started to boss midfield in second half, and wow Dumas got forward and put a cross in and we scored, lets hope he is encouraged to get forward more often.

Slight concern re number of chances they had from crosses due to poor marking but hey ho you make your own luck.

Bring on the Horsham and '90' mins of a performance from the blues!

I think something the lads can work on next is to stop giving away silly free kicks on the edge of the box.

I know probably some of the free kicks that have been given against us shouldn't have been given, but some of them were rightfully given and I think the amount of times we do this needs to stop.
