Dorking 1-0 Staines Lammas

A vital three points for Chicks who secured the win thanks to a controversial 89th minute free kick. An even game without much goalmouth action exploded into life as Dorking's West and a Lammas player tumbled on the edge of the box. It looked like a foul by the Chicks player, but the referee awarded the advantage Dorking's way and Alex Hill curled a superb free kick into the top left hand corner. Keeper had no chance. A flurry of bookings followed for angry Lammas players still arguing about the decision. The ref then managed to find six minutes of added time but Chicks hung on for the win.

Bedfont Green 7-3 Bookham

Not a true reflection of the game with Bookham pushing forward 4-3 down with 5 to go and BG well and truely punishing the Visitors.

Bookham lead 1-0 then 2-1 down before equalising before halftime, 2 goals in 2 mins for the home side to go 4-2 up before Bookham pulled another back with 10 to go before BG scored 3 to give it a flattering scoreline.

I believe the Farleigh player was a youngster called Toby Horrock. He collided with the Knappers keeper Kris Hatton, but both players got up and play continued. Shortly afterwards Toby collapsed on his own. Although the Air Ambulance was called he was eventually taken away by road. With an hour lost to this injury the referee had no choice but to abandon the game. I am sure all of us in the CCL community wish Toby a speedy recovery. I understand that the Knappers secretary is calling Farleigh tomorrow, I will keep you all informed.

COME ON YOU KNAPPERS!!!!

I was at Brentford v Darlington (ugh) but Woods won 5-2 v Bedfont without the skipper who played in the reserves (and scored). He needed a full 90 mins following a lay off.

Sets up the Cambo game nicely on Wednesday! duel drinkies

Ash United 1-1 Cove

Cove were the better team in the 1st half and had 3 or 4 very good chances that were not converted. We (cove) lost our top striker at half time which seem to affect our play. 2nd half was generally even until Ash put together 15 mins of continuous pressure which saw them come close to scoring 3 or 4 times. Finally they scored from a corner which was only cleared to the edge of the box. The strike came in which was blocked on the goal line but which fell kindly for an Ash player to prod home.

After the goal, Cove changed formation and put pressure on Ash.

A couple of chances came cove's way plus a penalty shout but it wasnt until 5 mins to the end that Cove got the equaliser.

A Cove shot from 20 yds was spilled by the Ash goal keeper in to the net.

Over 90 mins a draw was fair but Ash will feel like it was 2 points dropped.

11 points from a possible 18 for Cove in the last 6 games. Since the camberley match we have had some serious injuries to key players and loan players called back to their clubs. Yesterday we were without 4 players who would have started the match so its a testament to the depth in our squad.

All teams have their poor run of injuries, suspensions and unavailability during a season. Hopefully we have had ours!
