I repeat what Chris said earlier. MM informs me Mullins made the save of the millenium 5 minutes from the end.Wrong footed but managed to scoop the ball over the bar.Tako sent off in the last minute(Time wasting I think.2nd bookable)

Just got home from the game - nasty, cold afternoon with a ploughed field for a pitch!!!

 

First half was awful - nuff said!

 

Second half we looked more promising and I believe our goals came about as the Hendon defence started bitching amongst themselves and lost concentration. Bruce's goal was awesome, his second shot which Mo sent into the net was also fantastic.

 

Mo's second yellow was strange as he was walking away and the Hendon defender hit the ball against him. A pointless yellow card from a ref who had been fairly anonomous for most of the match.

 

High point - Pat Mullins jumping for joy at the final whistle! Everyone stayed and clapped and the team actually looked like they relished the result!

 

Onward and upward - lets keep it going Blues - WELL DONE

I thought Tako was standing a yard from the ball trying to delay the kick being taken, so the bloke kicked it at him and the ref had no option.

 

Anyhow, a satisfying afternoon. Men of the match for me, Mullin and Wilson equal.
