The Club has agreed terms with Terry Yorath to take over the position of 1st Team Manager until the end of the Season.

 

Terry has appointed Neville Southall as first team coach with immediate effect.

Big Nev says been on phone with Terry most of this week and spoken to 20 clubs and if they haven't got any new faces in side for Saturday it wont be for the lack of trying. That includes a call to a League Club in a bid to pull off a huge loan signing which didn't come off.

 

He was also asked re No 1 Jersey and says not a lot between Pat and Scott though Pat looks steadier at the moment so if you have to go for the one who will make the least mistakes. He does say Personally he thinks Scott will do allright in the future.

Ryan Peters (ankle) is still doubtful, while Daniel Kerrigan is ruled out with damaged ankle ligaments.

Paper quotes Nev as saying 'SCS will do alright for himself' which does not necessarily mean he will do alright at MFC

Given that it is highly unlikely the club will survive that long this seems rather academic...

Now that Yorath and Southall are officially in charge of the side surely some kind of media push could be done.

These are two very famous footballing names and I am sure that the likes of Meridian, BBC South East, Sky Sports News and others would happily run a story about it. This would give the club some much needed profile and who knows, someone seeing that might be interested in the club.....and eccentric millionaire Everton fan who worshipped Nev or a Welshman who felt that Yorath was the best manager ever to manage the National team.

Ok, probably not but it would be a good way of getting some free publicity for the club.

If we can think of it then i would hope that someone at the club would or could use this to our advantage . Silly to say it but funny things happen , Welsh legends take on leadership rolls of club in crisis but could be out of a job in less than a week . How much could the cheque be for that story . Enough to maybe pay the debt and the legends fight on and bring the club up to where it should be . ITS EASY TO SAY ( PUT IT INTO PRACTICE MFC ) for once use our dire position and take advantage of it .

Steve, there are people who would be interested in running the club (and we all know who they are) but, so far anyway, KP has shown no interest in selling his shares to them.
