Maybe i'm missing something here but how many clubs has Cooper been to at this level, had money thrown at him, brought in loads of so-called big name players and been a failure?

 

Maybe the chairmen in this league will wake up and realise this now and resist the temptation to give him another job....I won't hold my breath!

To be fair Mr Cooper is not the most genuine of chaps is he, he is commonly seen as a football mercenary. When he was at Cove he was the one seemingly taking all the credit and putting their success down to himself, that theory has been quashed by the good job that Koo has continued this season. He was also touting all glory for himself during pre season and early doors this season when it appeared as though they would romp the league. In recent weeks though he has shown his true self by openly undermining Mr Day at every opportunity and blaming the soap opera that has become Chertsey Town FC completely upon him and distancing himself from the flak.

 

Take the plaudits when things go well Mr Cooper but also be willing to hold your hands up when things go wrong. Its called having a back bone!

 

From what is being said, the problem for Mr Day is that Mr Cooper has rolled in, took his mates with him, put them on Mr Days wagebill (That appears to be extensive) and then done nothing but shaft Mr Day when he would have needed his support the most. Everyone seems to ridicule Mr Day on here, the fact is he is investing in a non league club, who in the CCL would turn that funding away? Simple fact is, Mr Cooper bought the players in, they get paid handsomely and they have not performed or earnt their money that they take each week, Ridicule them!

Any club in the league would like to have Chertseys budget.

Mr Cooper was the one brought in to assemble the squad, true they do have some decent players but they also have some of Mr Coopers mates who basically do not warrant the wages that he tells Mr Day that they are worth.

Therefore Mr Cooper has done a poor job and the "lucky" club to acquire Mr Cooper next, will, I am sure, soon be followed by his motley crew.

When Mr Day gets the right team around him, Chertsey Town will be set for promotion, until then, he will be wasting a lot of money.

Dont think it all down the Coop's though, at the end of the day they weren't average players down there and they clearly did not play as a team, my thoughts are too many ego's.

 

Clearly the balance of the side was not right and they did not play for the name of Chertsey Town FC.

Think some people should lay off Cooper. He was brought in to do a job at Chertsey and looking at the table he was not far off doing it.

 

People that are saying it must be down to him are talking rubbish it is a joint thing he was doing down there not just him.

Let's be honest I think most would welcome a player like Cooper to their club and what he has to offer.

 

Is it right that players should be paid what some people are saying they were at the club, answer no but that is their problem not yours or Coopers. And were they really getting that much!

 

Think People need to get their club sorted before they start talking [****!!****] about others!

Clubs that don't pay at CCL Prem will never get out of this league and if a club wants to be ambitious then let them be.

 

The only thing wrong with Cooper is that he is a secret ginger! Be proud of it Cooper.

I must say, after they played us off the park last week, I was pretty amazed at the league position they were in. Most of the players were more than capable of playing at Rymans 1 level at least. They should be p1ssing the league.

 

Apart from the likes of Pomroy, who's been there years, you have to question the hunger of the players, who had been underperforming.

 

I had them down as title challengers, but who knows what will happen if the revolving door policy continues.

Think the first question a Manager should ask them selves is - is this player better than what I have and are they going to stay around. If you come up with a NO, then move on player!

 

Easy to say our end though!

There are lots of different ways of running clubs and all are wrong if you don't follow my way!
