Dug Out Behaviour

What has happened to the two man standing in the technical area

rule?

I was present at the Takeley v Stanstead game last night and at one point the Stansted bench looked like a bus stop at rush hour. Not only that but at one point two of their bench were actually standing on the pitch abusing anyone that would listen.

After about 55 minutes the referee went over to them but two minutes later they were at it again.

Ah I miss Concord and Brentwood so much!!At least with them, we knew what their wage bill was and they were not afraid to tell everyone. It seems like some teams don't want to divulge what their budget is, just in case they get tagged as big money spenders but news travel fast and is a small word these days...I have no problem in saying that i'm on 3 figures money and my best paid players are the Goat, Salmon,Tevez Barrington, captain Pooly,Pele Hart and even Lander is on good money. The only one that is not on a contract is Bentley but like Etherington at West Ham,we have given him a loan to pay for his poker addiction... evilAh I forgot,a company car as well,a nice Citroen Xsara Picasso, blue like the club colour. alk

I was also watching the game the other night and believe that the Stansted bench were correct for moaning about the ball situation. So much time was wasted it was as if Takeley were playing for a draw. And on visits to many grounds this year i've heard that Takeley are paying big wages for the ESL. IMO on the basis of Tuesday night it looked like Stansted were paying the big wages.

i was at takely v Stansted game which was a cracker!it could of gone either way with both teams havin strong spells during the game!why fatboy slim(aka DW)is tryin to stir things up is no surprise as he is obviously under pressure to be succesful this season with the LARGE budget he has and also the stigma of being sacked as manager of sawbo!as skinny sid says anyone watching would say that the Stansted boys were the 1s who played like the BIG money earners!i admit i have a soft spot for the airportmen&both managers are pals of mine but they certainly deserved at least a point!as far as dugout behaviour is concerned fatboy(aka DW)POT,KETTLE,BLACK comes to mind!!

A lot of managers come on these forums..some have a look, some hide behind some funny names, others get involved and others are too shy and delegate someone else to make his views known to everyone.A normal thing and doesn't need to be a computer wizard...

For clarification on the standing rule, it says in the handbook, only 1 standing to give instruction then return to seat in the dugout.

I agree, when we were previously in the ESL. A couple of clubs seemed to be allowed to have as many people in the dug out as they liked. One club even had bouncers in there and the ref and leasgue officals turned their backs. I infact saw a agme involving Romford where one of the clubs I am referring to had their dug out overflowing,Romford had one man too many yet the ref ordered the extra man out of the Romford dug out but did nothing about the opposition.

The league has improved a lot since then and I think all teams seem to now get equal treatment in this respect.

In another incident when we used to play at Hornchurch. One of the clubs I have referred to had an official standing next to the goal about 2ft behind the line, chatting to our keeper all the game and the ref did nothing.
