'Staff/volunteer shortage' - a lack of people available to do the job required. Whether they be paid or unpaid was not really the point, just highlighting the shortage of bodies.

 

'The lost art of communication' would indeed help to rectify some issues/problems.

 

As for not asking and not getting, again, true. But I've lost count of the Fans Forum type events I've attended over the past 10 years or so where 20 odd hands shoot up to offer help over the summer etc then in the first week in June, 6 people turn up to help with general ground works.

 

The answer? I wish I knew, but I think it involves a bit of everything mentioned in the above thread, more communication, more liason, more volunteers, more resources, more asking from both the club and supporters.

 

As for the Vicki Farm, we could even organise a pre season tour...!!
