Reserves tonight?

not the greatest of games last night i didnt think. some reasonable performances, i thought Jack Buckfield made some great saves and kept us in the game a few times, defence looked a little bit unorganised and quiet for my liking, 2 sloppy goals conceded. although cleary and ketchell had a better second half then they did first. S. West done quite well when he came on for last 20 mins. Blackwell played well at left back also. good to see flack on score sheet and skippering the side.

didnt stay for the penalties, who scored them for us??

I thought I'd do a bit of a first-team watch at last night's game.

I thought Flackie did pretty well, put through the young lad for the first goal and scored the second with a typical Flackie goal, showing good strength to hold off the defender and firing home. Always playing on the shoulder he was the victim of some suspect off-side decisions but a decent 70 mins work for him.

We paired Clarey and Ketchell at centre half and to be quite honest they were shocking. I wonder what Steve 08 would have made of it all!! Ketchell improved when he got pushed out to left back and if he's gonna play for us then full back looks his position. West was easily the most impressive of the three on show. Lynvall and Heffs look shoe-ins for Saturday at centre-half for me.

Again quite impressed with Etchells who played a deeper role last night. A bit unorthadox but definitely looks like there might be something there. It'll be interesting to see how he develops.

Come on you Blues!!

Ha Ha Ha you do make me laugh Steve. I thought my fish might get a response.

At least my view is an impartial one mate, unlike yours I suspect.

Clarey made one good tackle in the first half which maybe prevented a goal so fair play, but was plainly at fault for their first goal and appeared to be AWOL when their striker had the freedom of the penalty area for the second.

Big lads like Clarey and Ketchell should have been completely dominant against a powder puff attack like Hx's last night but they weren't.

Duncan and Heffer kept a clean sheet against Bunn and Richards who are proven performers at Ryman Prem lvl so for me it's a very easy choice on Saturday.

But as you say different people have different opinions so we'll have to wait and see.

Take care and see you Saturday.

unlucky for the lads to miss out on pens but it happens. It was another good game but with a proper reserve team put out this time, its good to see the reserves play and have a look at what could be the future of btfc.

I have to agree with jl though, i thought clarey and richard had a poor game, ketchell played a bit better out of the two in the second half, but i thought sam west done better then the two of them.

Clarey did give away the first goal and should have been there to defend the second goal.

The first goal wasnt no ones fault as the player simply made a great through ball may i had he ran across ketchell and behind clarey.

The second goal was no where near clareys fault as he was marking number 10 and the other two deffenders should of been picking up the other players.

Yes he had alot better first half than second but maybe that was enough 35mins night before then 90mins night after its to much in short time.He said when i spoke to him he only found out he was playing on the wednesday morning and he said he didnt get in untill late tuesday.

I dont see why you have such a problem with him i wouldnt mind it if you knew what you was talking about, maybe you have never played football at a decent level before.

His peformances for the first team is what matters and since he has come back from injury the two games he came on no one can say he done bad.
