well done to the coaching staff at meadowbank and the players for their massive recent improvement, there is a settled side now, with some quality young players for this level.

a few sensible additions can only help the promotion push.

after an indifferent start to the season the side look capable of reaching top 5 places, it will be the games against the top three that decide if promotion is possible this season.

We have to hope for some mild dry weather to catch up the backlog as we wont be wanting to play 3 times a week in April needing wins each game.

Also well done to all at the club for an improvement in discipline and a sensible reaction to previous problems, some just need to remember (or learn) to show a little more humility and respect for both the opposition and their own team mates.

Nice one, TSF.

I'm out of action for probably a week with chronic bronchitis and the dreaded gastric flu that goes with it.

Keep me informed !

Best advice I've ever had from the Doc.

"Don't stray more than 50 yards from a warm toilet !"

dorking won today against a very good staines llamas side.

some naughty llama clearly fouled our innocent winger and the ref had absolutely no choice but to award a free kick from the top of box hill

our hero , left back spiky blond alex hill (no relation) despite cramp, ligament damages, a broken leg and a nasty spot on his nose courageously stepped up to curl the forty yarder into the top far corner.

the ref went on to book every staines player and anyone who had been on the m25 in november, several hours later the result was confirmed in the moodlit and non greenhouse effect threatening clubhouse, three points to the chicks, hoorah and bah sucks humburg to llammas

the asahi was up to its usual standard, served nicely chilled, (or room temperature at the clubhouse saturday)

I especially enjoyed the free one mr vice chairman kindly bought us all!

the side played as a team and battled on to the end, I'm confident this side will be in the promotion mix, and look forward to the games against villa, knaphill and what might be in years to come the "traditional derby game against big local rivals" mvscr.
