Gutted for the Carlisle fans. When we played them we left at 5am for a 3pm kick off, took us about 8 hours! On that basis, if they left Grays at 8.30, they ain't gonna be home until 4.30 this morning - and they've gotta go back again!

 

I wonder if Grays will be fined for this?

grays were 1-0 up when the lights went out after 20 minutes. for the replay, does it start at 1-0 and they play the remaining 70 minutes or is it 0-0 and start all over again?

 

got to feel for the carlisle fans, but they're practically scottish, so they were probably too drunk to realise the game didn't finish.

I wonder you know in all seriousness if Grays postponed this on purpose you Think first of all they play chelmsford who apparntly did take a few down so it increases bar money and etc so they muck about with the flood lights and get the game postponed. their next game against Oxford there lights were working and I spose Oxford would have brought some down to again increase their bar money. Then they play carlisle who despite having to travel down far on a midweek game still bring good away support and also using there bar so they decide to muck about with the floodlights again and get the game postponed.

 

It does seems strange how it worked fine against oxford but playing up against chelmsford and carlisle in both cup comps you would of have thought they would of got it sorted out after the chelmsford game and I can now see a fine on the way to grays

I don't think Grays would have anything to gain by having the game called off on purpose. After all, they were 1-0 up at the time, win that and they're one win away from the third round where the big money can be made.

 

Looks as though the replay will be on Saturday 29th November.

Following the floodlight failure during last nights FA Cup 1st Round Replay against Carlisle United which unfortunately caused the abandonment of the fixture after 20 minutes, the rescheduled fixture will now take place on Saturday 29th November @ 13:00.
