DISCIPLINE OR LACK OF IT

Yesterdays performance has ben well aired elsewhere and I like everybody was gutted after another bad defeat.

A point I think needs making though is our recent lack of dicipline. I know yesterdays ref was aiming to star for the assesor but aren't most of them now, but a few seasons ago we won the fair play league and now we are getting players booked regularly and even red cards, some justified some not. I remember commenting on the fact that when we had a bad decision given against us we got up and carried on trying to play our football without alowing pointles agguments or protests to disrupt our play and get players booked making them less effective during the rest of the game for fear of a red card.

Along with any changes (on the pitch) that may result from Saturdays performance lets have a directive to the players not to get involved in pointless arguments with officials however poor they might be but get on with our game, playing good football and frustrating the other teams tactics.

This wont make us win but it might keep our concentration levels higher and help a basically strong squad produce the type of performances we all know they are capable of.
