Questions for wednesday

I'm affraid the meeting has been called to explain why the club has entered into a CVA.

The exsisting CVA is under a different company name so the new Cva will probabley be approved with conditions. ie once the development is approved the origanal cva will be settled.

Can anyone tell me when the fund raising money will be paid to the club ? I do hope it will be put aside until the CVA has been sorted otherwise it will get jobbled up and no real good will be done.

I think its more likely that the club will just stagger on for the next few years. The people in charge now i think want to remain in charge. Perhaps they know something we don't know?
Even though it maybe

A question for MISA rather than for Wednesday. However, your answer can be seen on other "appeal" threads Tony. Here's a couple of posts to re-asssure both yourself & others.

CVA acceptable - Probable outcome but not assured

1) Taking into account the small percentage raised, though still in my opinion a cracking effort, the majority of this bill will have to be made, somehow,by the club anyway,so if & when the club can show absolute proof that the bill has been paid in full, whenever that may be,then,& only then, should they get that which was raised,as that was the sole purpose of the appeal to start with & which would only be fair & correct.

2) Remember, despite the recent news re:possible CVA all monies are "safe" & will be used for the purpose it was intended, to go towards helping the club the club with this payment to the taxman (but only after confirmation of payment in full has been made).
If it turns out the money raised is left in "limbo" (i.e & god forbid the club fold) it will be YOU the supporters that will have the final say as to where best to use the money raised.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Ideally, and this was the initial intention of the appeal,if both the clubs contribution & the amount of donations raised had amounted to that which is owed, payment would have been made earlier to the taxman (with absolute proof of payment),hence avoiding a CVA in the first place, but that hasn't been the case unfortunately.

I think MM is pretty much spot on, although I also broadly agree with Paul H's assessment of affairs.

But my previous point was that we can only address Paul H's points if a solution to MM's conundrum is found. And that can only happen with the cooperation of the Piper family.

Therefore, I believe that accurate figures need to be put in the public domain for MM's points to be addressed, which in turn allow Paul H's points to be addressed.

The only other solution is to ensure the Piper family deliver.

Maybe Mr Piper should humbly say how he needs help and how the fans can help him.

If you ask for help-sometimes it is given;and he may find he has alot more friends than seems apparent from alot of postings.

AS you say,ITH-most people want 'delivery',so how can we help deliver.

You may be correct BTW,and is possibly worthy of clarification,as the official site simply announces an 'open meeting'-implying that all topics-including footballing issues are up for discussion .

Yeah, thanks for pointing that out Pagey. Tony,I apologise for any confusion there.I should of course, when mentioning Keith Lewis always enter his surname to avoid this confusion.I thought everyone understood who I meant but if you read down that post you would have noticed Keith Lewis's name in full but I can see how may have got confused.

"Of course although the deadline has been given donations can & always will be acceptable after that date without the need to pledge.Likewise on Wednesday night.Again approach Keith Lewis & he will gladly I'm sure accept your donations".

I can assure everybody,no monies are being handed over to KEITH PIPER or the club at this time. All monies will be retained by MISA c/o the Treasurer KEITH LEWIS & will be held by him c/o M.I.S.A & not used by any party until such times as mentioned in my previous post.

Ultimately & hopefully, the club will manage to find the funds to clear this debt in full.M.I.S.A in turn will need absolute confirmation in writing that the club is free of debt to the taxman. Then & ONLY then will M.I.S.A hand over to the club that which has been raised.

I can possibly help you there MS-as i believe after an application is put in- (i think it was about 25th october ), i believe there is a statutory period of 6 weeks for consultation/objections etc.and pending what transpires it is normally then slotted into the next available planning meeting-i'm not sure what TDC 'waiting list is, but obviously the 6 weeks is not up yet-and not up before courst case-and if all goes well-my best guess is that this will get to TDC commmitee stage in january sometime.

Hope that helps, but maybe those who go tonight can confirm-or better still-say i'm wrong and we have gotthe much needed planning.
