Questions for wednesday

michael

Recommended Posts

As ever, for various reasons many interested supporters will either be unable or not interested in attending on wednesday .

(no criticism intended either as i am in the above category and its always easier to get people to attend when one is expecting good news as opposed to poor news-thats human nature.

For me, it does not really matter if 2 people attend or 202 attend-its the quality of the questions and faith in the answers that count.

I wondered whether if some questions are posted on here, those who go along may chose to ask some of them, aswell as their own specific questions ?

I suspect 80% of supporters would be asking 80% of the same questions anyway.

If i understand it corrctly, it is not a meeting specifically about off field matters so i see no reason why some pertinent footballing questions could not also be asked .

Also ,in fairness to the Board, if they have an idea of the questions to be asked, they should be in a position to give fuller and better answers.

The sort of questions (and more importantly the answers ) i would like to read about being raised are:

what specifically is the amount owed to HRMC and other creditors.

On a scale of 1 to 10 what does the Board think are the chances of getting a new cva accepted (i think 75% of creditors need to agree to it -and unlike the promise to HRMC-there is no apparent promise to other creditors to pay money as soon as planning is granted.

Whatever the answer to the above-the follow on question is :why ?

As Pagey posts elsewhere-why was the original CVA not adhered to .

Who will be representing and fighting for the clubs position at the cva meeting

Will Mr Yorath be given any funding to improve the quality of the playing staff ?

Why does it seem that it is now recognised that some experience is required amongst the players-when in the summer everyone connecteed to the club was apparently advocating youth, yet to most supporters it was obvious that minimally a blend of youth and experience was required ?

(i still maintain that notwithstanding any tough questionning that comes out on wednesday,my support remains behind this Board of Directors -and as Mr Yorath indicates on the playing front-we have nothing else anyway )

This alone wouldnt be good enough the shares would have to be given up as well.

I would go for a new board and the shares to be available at a set amount to anyone who wants them. eg Fans, new board etc

Cheers Pagey.

So what I'd really like to see is the resignation of the board and there shares being offered to supporters and/or a new buyer. (presuming there may be someone willing to buy the club in its current state and with the countries bad economical state)

These mistakes must never happen again and the stadiums development must be taken forward with someone that has the full support of the supporters and local council.

I'd thank the board for there efforts and endeavor over the last couple of years but its time for change.

The decline of MFC must be stopped before we are in the deepest depths of the Kent League.

I would be very interested to know how much annually it costs to run the club taking everything into consideration.

Are we able to meet that cost.

Specifically where does that money come from.

i.e.Matchday receipts,gate,food etc.

Are we getting money from 5 a side

Where else and how much

Is anybody ie K.P.putting personal money in to keep the club going.

What is the liklihood of the income increasing after development ,by how much and when will that be.

Have any directors loaned money to the club,if so who,how much. This will tell us how much the club owes in directors loans and would be of interest to any future owner be it an individual or supporters.

I know some of these questions are personal but this is supposed to be a meeting about the financial affairs of margate F.C.and the answers may well serve to get people off K.P.'s back.

As MM rightly says if they know the questions they are in a better position to give imformed answers.

Could I suggest that the Margate secretary makes a note of the contents of this thread to ensure that the questions are answered on the night.

With respect Michaelmichael. Just because you or I do not have the money does not mean we cannot have an opinion. I and many have supported the club for many years. We have supported the board and club during the good times and the bad i.e relegation from the Conference, playing at Ashford, entering into the original CVA, relegation from Conference south to the Ryman.

Many promises have been made about our new stadium. Yes we are back at HDP now and yes we have a 5 a side centre.

Many promises are made and not honoured. I thought we'd be playing in a new ground by now. Whats happened to it. Whats the point when we appear to be going backwards instead of forwards.

With the new CVA who will want to come to this club player wise. I wouldn't!!! So where does this leave us, 10 points down, on the brink of collapse, deep in the relegtion zone (with 10 points deducted) A ground that is not being developed. Lack of sponsorship. Decreasing crowds. No official manager. A club struggling to pay back its debt. It doesn't make good reading does it!!!!
