Carshalton 2 - 2 CIFC

Good all round performance yesterday, personally a game i thought we should of won..

There was one change to the from the Hastings game, that was Ben Patten coming in for the suspended Chris Moore.

First half was fairly even but we had the best chance when Dobbo headed against the bar following a Stuart Ainsley corner.

First 25 mins of the 2nd half we were well on top and played some of our best football of the season. Leon Gordon scored a quality left foot finish from the egde of the 18 yard box to put us one up. We then had 2 or 3 good chances to get a second but a couple of good saves by there keeper kept it at 1 nil.

Then with 20 mins to go the leagues top marksman Richard Jolly came alive. He scored two sharp finishes in a 10 minute period to put Carshalton in front.. To be fair until this point the defence had delt very comfortably with Carshalton's attacks.

But once again we showed our fighting spirit with an equalising goal on 88 minutes.. Leon Gordon made a surging run into the box and was brought down by i think ex CIFC player Dwaine Clarke. Defo pen which Stuart Ainsley crashed home to put the game back level and secure a very well deserved point.

To be honest i think we deserved 3 points today, we were the better side for long periods and had the better chances overall. Happy with an away point though!

My Man Of The Match would go to Leon Gordon for scoring a quality goal, winning the pen and causing there left back alot of problems, especially in the 2nd half.!

Roll on Tuesday!

Really good preformance yesterday! I thought the first half

was very even but at the start of the first half we really dominated and after the first goal we had 4 great chances to

make it 0.2 and game over.We didnt take those chances they made

some changes and got back into it.Overall i thought we deserved

the 3pts but am happy with the tough away point.

The two leons stuck out for me as did ricky but id give the

motm to gordon as he didnt get much out the left back first half but really opened him up in the second.Antoine won most of his aerial battles and put hiself about should also of scored.Although ricky didnt have many saves to make i thought

his handling from crosses was excellent and his kicking was decent to.

After reading the billericay forum with all the doom and gloom it just made me realise how well the club is doing at the

moment. At the start of the season many people thought we would

struggle like billericay and billericay would be in and about

the play-offs like we are at the moment. At the start of the season i would of taken survival but now my expectations/confidence is growing as would the players/management i would have thought.

Yeah have seen that. Somebody from Brentwood was saying about that but no news as yet.

Wouldn't surprise me. Ricay should never have got rid of Matt Jones. He was doing a decent job there.
