Bracknell Away Tomorrow

There isn't a post so far that say's drawing 0 - 0 with Bracknell is a reasonable result; it isn't. But our defensive performance was improved on recent games.

 

Regardless of where Fermie came from or the whys and where fors of whats happening at the clubs he left, he has been solid for us and now with thankfully Luke Evans back, and who should been made captain, we have a solid spine of Evans, Allaway and Fermie.

 

Lee Riddell gives 100% every performance and some might be being a bit harsh. Last year when he joined us he stood out as (one of) our best players but our squad has improved this season and so he now doesn't look so good. He probably shouldn't and won't get in the team every game but his versatitlity still makes him worth a place on the bench.

 

What we lacked yesterday, and usually do, is creativity and sadly relied on the long ball. It's no surprise we didn't benefit from this route as Platt is not that type of forward. Put in this league he's more of a thoroughbred so whilst yesterday he was in a cow field we shouldn't expect him to play like a cart horse.

 

I think we need to look to our midfield for the lack of creativity. For me Pritcard has been off the pace for most of the season. Have we got what we need in the squad I don't know. Maybe Bubb, maybe Sonny, if he finds his feet at this level, or maybe someone comes in?

 

Whatever happens I can't wait for Winchester and the rest of the season because I agree with Heavy Trucker yesterday was for much of the time compelling and it's always exciting following the Rebels.
