Forum Meeting

Taking all past and present views into account, as I am reading on the forum at the moment, I would like to just say the following.

A meeting with the clubs board and anyone else wishing to attend is very good thing for ALL concerned.I think it would be a great opportunity to ask rather pertinent questions like' has the clubs/company accountants offered and explained the options open to debate and agreement regarding the failed cva? If so what are they.

Can the existing cva be 'ringfenced'i.e. old company wound up and new company take on cva under a new agreement with Her Majestys staff( and I use the term staff in a sarcastic way)?

Could the existing directors(this includes all) inject enough funds into existing company structure as 'directors loans' to satisfy the immediate need? These could be reimbursed back to same as the company/club becomes more profitable over say........3 years?

I am merely stating that given the type of possible options, as above, whether practical or legally acceptable or again correctly structured, there must be questions not asked and answers not given because the questions were never asked. It may also be prudent for the directors, at this meeting, to have their financial advisers in attendance to.

An old friend of mine used to like saying that 'if you can see light at the end of tunnel, regardless of how little, then it has'nt been turned off yet.So get to the bloody switch before anyone else does and fight like stink to keep the bulb burning'.

Seemed to work for him. Before he sadly passed away he had been a millionaire, lost it all and been to prison, and become a millionaire again when he came out.It took him 11 yrs to do it the second time, but he did it again all the same. And he never robbed banks before all the jokers get on that one. He was simply a grafter who would never accept failure as an option and would never take any notice of those around him who said 'itll never work'.

Agreed CE. It has accrued over time, been addressed, agreed under terms with the creditor/s and scheduled for repayment. That has failed due to insufficient funds, for whatever reason,to maintain the repayment plan. Whatever the reasons, and that can be asked at the meeting if necessary,it has happened.

I doubt that these things come out of the blue also. That is not say that you are wrong but that any debtor knows who they owe money to and why.As we all have our debts to pay and know where and when to pay so to do commercial sector members.

What I think has possibly happened is that these sums, yet to confirmed, have accrued over 2/3 years.Tax and vat man, as preferential creditors, take the highest seat at the collection table. They will not tolerate delays or nonpayment as many have found before now.

It may be time, at the impending meeting, for some facts to be established.

It never ceases to amaze me that we have to hear these news items from the press or other forum users, I was of the belief that the Official Margate site should be the first place this type of news is released, seems to me the "management" have no concerns for the real supporters of this club !!!

I can understand your concern that the announcement is not on the club website but I don't think it is quite fair to assume that the real supporters of this club all have internet facilities.

I try to compare our site with others in our league and there is no comparison, I am sure that a loyal band of volunteers do their best but where is the input and news from the club, it rarely exists on here, in fact I learn more from this forum.

I think things like match reports etc that are done by Wellsie are second to none, esp how quickly they are on the official site. However, I agree that other news is sometimes slow to be put on if it goes on at all.

i read on the official site that this is promoted as an open meeting for supporters with the directors.(not just KP)

Thus implying that whilst financial matters must be a priority on the agenda-that footballing matters might be up for some discussion aswell.

Whilst not a main board member with corporate responsibility-as 'Director' of football-i womnder whether Mr Yorath will also be in attendance to answer questions
