I think the best thing that could happen here is that it continues to rain and we get a postponement.

We need to buy some time.

frankly-as this was re-arranged at short notice-imo -a very bad club decision-whoeever made it-to agree to this game -we are obviously very unsettled at the moment-so what was the point of agreeing to a game where we are almost certain to lose all 3 points .

If it goes ahead, i can see another 6-1 defeat to Boreham Wood coming up.

We've now lost two experienced defenders in two weeks (Smith and Parkinson) with no replacements, in an already inexperienced team. TY was hoping to sign a couple of players before Saturday so maybe we could see a new face tonight. What I do find amazing is that we concede two goals in 7 minutes on Saturday and then do not concede for another 83. Exactly the same against Hendon. Although poor matches, they must be doing something right. Its not like we have been losing 4-5 nil each week. We must have someone who can put the ball in the net.

The problem on Saturday was when we were defending, the ball was launched up the pitch to nobody in particular, resulting in the opposition getting the ball back 90% of the time.

Result = The oppostion were straight back at our defence again. Our front men were getting little or no decent service, they were tracking back to help out the defence, so in no position to do much attacking themselves. IMO.

I know the above is all a bit simplistic - but I'm no football tactician - it's just the way I saw it.

I'm sure you are right-most games are won by the team that controls midfield.

The midfield needs strengthening-in fairnss-Yorath seemed to recognise this by playing 5 in midfield for a time.

I still think it is a shame about Ashby-he did seem to be making progress;and TY was equally progressing the club overall.
