saying that ronaldo should give up some of his wages to support step 5 football is like saying that tom cruise should give 10% of his earnings to save some local theatre, sorry but most non league clubs couldnt organise a p1ss up in a brewery.

premiership footballers are paid the going rate for their work,do you not understand the basic concepts of capitialism??

Agree with your sentiments but some of the problem is not just a football thing or even a money thing

 

As you know, Romford have been trying for some years to gain their own facility in Havering. Part of our published plan has always included providing facilities for local youth soccer. Yet despite this and Havering Council not being able to provide such a facility themselves, the same Council backed by a few moronic nimbies block all our moves.Partly on the basis of "this land should be for community use" well what is community use if it is not for getting kids off the street and playing football????

Boroman,I witness every sunday junior and mini-soccer players getting out of their cars already kitted and shin pads on ,playing on pitches without dug-outs,their parents standing there exposed to all kind of weather,no covered stands,people walking with their rotweilers across the pitch,another little chihuahua taking the p**s litterally!After the game they get back in their cars all muddy and before they go back home and have a proper bath or shower is gonna take another half an hour at least with the inevitable consequences,ie cold,flu,stiff legs etc.It's all fecking amateurish and basically there are not enough grounds with proper changing rooms and facilities.Spare a thought for those sub players exposed to rain,wind and with nothing to hide or sit down.We see mr Lttle Balls,register his under 7s team with the FA and another micky mouse team is born...FC LIONS,CHAPMAN SANDS,DOWNHALL UTD,FC REDWING etc,etc.You'll never see a thing like this in Italy.Clubs at step 2-3-4-5-6 are made compulsory to have a structured youth sectors with an FA recognized soccer school, otherwise they will loose their senior status or get points deducted.Every single one of their junior and mini-soccer players play at proper grounds with showers,fences,seated stands and they get to them an hour,hour and half before kick off.They get changed,have showers after the game and wear track suits or club shirt and ties.Forget about training facilities as well,that's another story.And you are right in moaning about Romford fc!The councillors should have a good look at themselves and with all the park pitches in the borough,they only have to find one to develop to senior standard with club house and floodlights.We don't stand a chance in a million to win a World Cup in football with facilities like these!!!Amateurish!!!

Of course they have!They learn their skills in proper soccer schools where they learn to love the ball and not getting rid of it or treating it badly.Their coordination,agility are far superior to our obese kids that are paralysed from the trunk and above!Then at the right age they join proper football clubs and not spongers that milk the money from sky tv rights and don't know how to use it wisely.Also at the age of 17 they are already playing top football contrary to our kids that are denied that chance because of overpaid,overrated foreigner players that see this country as the cucko land!!And then they move abroad showing their skills in the best leagues in the world contrary to our players that nobody wants and when they go abroad..they think they are playing in a foreigner country!!! A la rush...

And they still won 2 world cups and finished 3rd in 1954.Plus Penarol and Nacional have won 3 Intercontinental Cups each,which are more times than your clubs won it put together!!Plus they won the South American Championship more times than you ever won a European Championship!And they won a Copa de Oro in 1980(Mundialito) against top nations,Brazil,Italy,Germany,Argentina and Holland!
