and indeed we must be graceful and magnanamous in defeat as we are in victory and today I saw such dignity everywhere from the minute we opened the gates to the minute I left.....

 

yes it was a harsh ending to a magnificent performance from our players and a fabulous and colourful day out for the fans and make no mistake...we were the better team for long periods of that game... but the fates conspired and we lost and now we move on....great wakering rovers await us on wednesday in the ESC on a rainy east essex night and we shall be there and we shall again deal with victory or defeat with dignity and grace....its what we do and why we are all here tonight and why we were all there today...its why we are what we are as a club...

 

today was about our club and a measure of our dignity and ability to savour the bitter tears of defeat with the same grace that we deal with the estatic aroma of victory and we received an A+..

 

well done every single one of you for making today a day for our club to be proud of...
