Absence of posts......

I take it that, with the absence of viewing and comments, following yesterdays game, there is a larger amount of frustration and disappointment than ever before?

I can only speak from my fairly isolated position and say that I too am hacked off.I try to look at each performance and result in isolation.I also try to analyse certain aspects, and over critically sometimes, to see where the opportunity to improve may be identified and acted upon. I am no manager or trainer but IMO there are such glaringly obvious inadequecies all over the pitch. That is not to say that none are trying or applying themselves. They are simply in need of help.

Someone once said to me in a work capacity that " the man going nowhere will always get there". How bloody true that was and will always be. These young players need direction from an experienced and knowledgeable mentor. He, or she, must instill belief and the work ethic required to become better. They must also educate the squad and help them to understand that 'football' at this level is the same as at those higher when it comes to dedication and personal discipline. If 'part-time' training and and life style are followed in the future, as they have been of late, then the team and club are in for some very testing times. These lads, possibly not all though, are suffering from too many distractions off the pitch. The clubs issues will filter through to performance. The clubs issues will antagonise supporters and that frustation has been shown recently to the players during and after matches.Only by some admitedly.IMO the squad need to be training 3 times a week at the moment. Whether short, mid or long term it will enable the manager/trainer(s) to identify who can improve, where and how quickly.I aslo think that it will sort out who is dedicated to the cause and the future of the team and club.

Currently1/2 sessions a week is knowhere near enough for any of them.I also believe that at present and possibly for sometime that some players are only here for the money. I would like to see them tested and made to put 'there arses in gear' on the training pitch and see if they have what it takes to prove me wrong.

Appathy is alive and well with too many of them and it must be removed.

This part-time approach by ALL involved with the squad must also be removed, at least short term, and give these lads what they need so desperately............THE TIME, HELP,GUIDANCE AND BENEFIT OF THE YEARS OF KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE that their current mentors have. It should be imparted to them with the pleasure that any seasoned tradesman would have in passing on his knowledge to an apprentice.

Sadly though it would appear that too many 'other agendas' exist for some and that none of the above will happen me thinks.

Thats me done for the moment.

I just cannot understand how, when the proverbial hits the rotating object that so many who could do so much, want to do so little for anyone.

Dr Martens ,

CONFERENCE ,

Conf Sth ,

Ryman Prem ,

??????????? , i think this is part of the reason there is less interest , from almost being a football league club to what we are now ( no offence to existing players ) in only 5-6 yrs . Questions have to be asked why . If you look at the teams that we were playing in our days in the Conference to where they are now , ie Doncaster , Yovil , the Daggers , Chester , Shrewsbury , and others that have caught us up from afar and are now sweeping past us dropping us down the pecking order . This is maybe one reason why posts are less no one bothers , and we`ve never really had a proper answer as to WHY THIS HAPPENED .

Fantastic post Ronks.

!00% with you.

Is not Yorath the supposed mentor however-and did not Ashby instill training 3 times a week-has it gone back to twice under Yorath-and has Yorath the dedication and energy to take training 3 times a week.

frankly-its a younger mans game-both in terms of the energy required and the relationships needed with 17-22 year olds.

TY was doing well as Director of Football-lets get back to him in that role -with a younger manager to take the team forward.

TY said he got on well with BA-is it time for all parties to show a bit if humility -and bet BA back as manager.

With championship winning form required of 2 points per game to save league status-ryman south looks inevitable-lets get BA back-and allow him to build a team that can win ryman south next year;and let TY develop the club overall

Great post Ronks. bow

Ian as I said before this is supposed to be a Margate forum but you seem to spend more time on here trying to wind up others. Maybe you should concentrate on your own team's performance rather than ours wink

As I said previously Ian, but being a Rams fan you fail to grasp it, I ALWAYS do reports for home Reserve games so dont go too many first team games away. Thank you for your kind thoughts about my welfare though, very touching grin
