Chopper moves back to Burnham

According to the Slough Observer website.

Article

First we are told he is sent on loan to Walton to gain fitness, then we don't have enough players to fill our bench. Now he leaves to join a managerless club who have conceded 11 goals in their last 2 games. Clearly pretty desperate to leave Slough then.

'he needs regular football to get his fitness up'

I thought that was the whole idea of going on loan?

Sounds like he wasn't prepared to travel back and forth to Walton and fight for his place in the Slough team.

Still seems strange that he didn't start against Leighton to get his fitness levels up if lack of fitness was the real reason.

It's hard to tell though. We sign him, barely give him a chance and then he is on his way. It is particularly galling considering that I know of at least one other Burnham player who would be interested in joining. But still they've conceded 11 since Mudge resigned so who knows what is going on.

Well apparently a load of players are now interested in joining Burnham - which might speak volumes about the previous regime.

It's disappointing because we all know Harris at his best can play at Ryman Premier level or higher. But he was clearly unfit and in hindsight our approach would have been better used on one of the other Burnham players we were apparently targeting.

If what the observer says is true then i think its fair.In my mind any player at any level that is expecting a definite place in the side shouldnt be signed, all players have to earn the right to play,at all levels there are players who think they are bigger than the club. If the manager has said you have to fight for your place good on him.

Maybe he thought he would get a game this weekend after Tuesdays shambles-I would rate Bishops Cleave about the same as AFC Hayes,

so in reality would expect us to beat them easily ( but then it didn't happen on Tuesday )but I seriously doubt it.They have that ex pro striker who played against us for Cirencester and little else in my opinion.

That'll be "Bananaman" Julian Alsop. Roy Gumbs was used at the back to try and stop him against Cirencester, so I hope Allaway is fully fit for tomorrow.

Bit worrying to hear Sweets saying that they've been wracking their brains as to why players are not playing well and why we are shipping so many goals.

I'll waiver my fee for this little tip Mr Sweetman - stop playing kamakazi football thinking we can out-score the opposition regardless of how many goals we concede.

Stop playing with so called wing-backs and play a solid 4-4-2 or 4-3-1-2.
