Welwyn Garden City

Recommended Posts

UU I think you will find that is 2 clubs, Leyton and Welwyn Garden City.

The way the Dynamic Duo were treated at Lea Bridge it is little wonder that they moved on taking players and supporters with them, which I think you will find is fairly common in non-league football.

Oracle - I'll still be surprised if the so called 'Dynamic Duo' are at the Club at the start of next season, they will either have a falling out with the Herns Lane hierarchy or someone will make them a better offer they can't refuse in the Ryman League. I'm sure they are great guys as you keep ramming down our throats but their motto appears to be 'wherever I lay my hat that's my home'.

Oracle why don't you bet Rhodes his own house on this latest prediction. Whilst the housing market is admittedly in a bit of a slump this would seem an excellent opportunity to build up a property portfolio which would allow you to cash in when the market picks up.
Unless you think he's right ....

managers and players are in the main quite transient in their outlook but supporters rarely move from one club to another in any numbers worthy of mention.....

I cannot pass comment about how anyone was treated at leyton but have always found them to be decent people....clearly they have problems though..

Oracle - I appreciate that you and Bilbo had no affinity with Leyton but you didn't do yourselves any favours when shouting about them from the roof tops when Del and Steve went to Lea Bridge Road, starting Websites, Forums, doing match reports and then suddenly dropping everything like a brick when 'the Dynamic Duo' upped sticks and joined Welwyn Garden City. Presumably you will do exactly the same when they eventually down tools at Herns Lane and join another Club.

Rhodes, my efforts to promote the club were not appreciated, a feeling I expect you know only to well.

I still administer the forum for them and I offered to keep the website going if they sent me the information but nothing was forthcoming and I believe an out of date site is worst than no site at all so I passed all the relevant details and passwords over to them.

Match reports were always done by Steven Beloff not me.

So it seems that yet again your assumptions are incorrect, don't you get bored of always being wrong?

Oracle - Well at least we are agreed on something as I had a particularly frustrting time at Haringey Borough and Kentish Town however this brings me back to the subject of Gavin. I would have thought that you of all people would recognise the time, effort and commitment he put in on behalf of Edgware Town yet you were instrumental in unceremoniously showing him the door of the White Lion Ground.

Not that old chestnut! I will explain it yet again and try not to use any long words so maybe this time you will understand.

It was I who stood up for him and argued for his reinstated after his first outburst and ban.

However, he threw it back in my face with a tirade of abuse against the club, players, management and thefore the committee banned him for good.

He continued this tirade on various football forums until their administrators also saw the guy for what he was and duly banned him as well.

We can

Lol, I rest my case although the million dollar question would be whether Del decides to follow him or remain at Herns Lane. That will leave Oracle and Bilbo with a huge dilema.

Don't believe everything you read, Rhodes.

I spoke to Steve yesterday and he ensures me he will be staying with Del until his unfortunate illness prevents him from from being involved in football management. The players feel the same way and they are all committed to the cause at Welwyn Garden City.

Rhodent is really loosing the plot lately. He only ever deals in rumour and innuendo and when he is proved wrong he quickly changes the subject, a bit like the proverbial ostrich burying his head in the sand.

Always ready to point out others faults but never acknowledging his own, he has failed at two clubs and by all accounts there are still problems with his latest appointment.

Bilbo - At least I don't go from Club to Club in a 'wherever I lay my hat' fashion not knowing where I will be from one moment to the next, if Del and Steve left Herns Lane tomomorrow you will just drop Welwyn Garden City like a brick and follow them like a sheep.
