Jesus, it was "we" at Leyton a few weeks ago when everthing was rosey...

Don't think it was ever rosey at Leyton too much uncertanty after the first month and the committee ignored everyone, they even snubbed Steve Allen who took some stunning photos at every match

Told you he would bite, posting about Leyton on the wrong forum and also an unrelated thread - pathetic - but good fishing.

Isn't this the same treatment numpty use to get at the white lion? Double standards if you ask me...

Lol, have you heard from Bilbo or Paul Gregory as yet with a view to them becoming involved at Herns Lane. I did hear on the grapevine that the running of the Club left a lot to be desired so you might want to bring Paul Gregory onto the Committee with his vast administrative experience.

They will be very strong on the pitch but i am sure the committee / chairman will find away to ruin things.

Rob Blackburne's stay at Oxhey Jets must have been very short then. Was a seven dayer put in for him?

I would like to wish the new Manager good luck and hope he can pull the Club up the table. With the players he looks to bringing in this should be achievable and at least he should have a squad that will turn out for matches.

For everyone else that supported myself and Gavin at WGC,I thank you and hopefully it will not be too long before I am back with another Club.

The manager at Cockfosters and Bedford seems to have encountered the same problems that I experienced, where you are putting in hours of dedication and effort, only to be let down by players who have no sense of responsibility.

On paper both Wgc and Cockfosters had squads capable of finishing mid table, but the effort to get a side out makes any consistancy impossible.

If anyone is looking for a enthusiastic and dedicated Manager then I am available, please pm me.

Good Citizen - I still maintain that you turned Welwyn Garden City around with some miraculous results before the Club shot itself in the foot as has always been the case at Herns Lane, Del Deanus won't stand for any nonsense from the Club's hierarchy or else he will just up sticks.

Numpty used obscene and abusive language to spectators, including a young child. He then went on a campaign of abusing the managers and players on various forums, he was therefore rightly banned from the club by the committee. This is very old news and this thread is not the place to try and open old wounds

Bilbo - Gavin may have used some colourful language and had occasional behavioural outbursts when he was at the White Lion Ground however what he needed was a reassuring arm around his shoulder from a Club official such as Ken Batten or Paul Gregory rather than being shown the door which must have broken his heart as he bled green and white. Look what he did for the Club with little or no thanks and you can't really blame him for having a wry smile on his face when they were driven to the wall by those very same people leaving 500k of debt in their wake.

It will be interesting to see which players will follow the dynamic duo to WGC for tomorrow's game against Chalfont. I think Rod and Stuart Blackburne have already committed and I expect a number of others will be there?

I would also expect to see Paul and Ken at the game

Bilbo - It will also be interesting to see which former Edgware Town 'and Leyton' supporters follow Del like sheep to Welwyn Garden City for tomorrow's game, anyway I thought that only Del had gone there, has Steve also gone as I know they're normally joined at the hip.

With the litany of clubs you have supported, two of which you were ejected from, I think you should keep stum.

Haringey to Hornchurch via Kentish Town, Nigeria, that Israeli team, Bethnal Green United, Corinthian Casuals, Mauritius Sports and if it ever happens, the so called 'new Edgware'

Gates - Yes sorry, I missed the last couple of lines of that informative article where it says that 'Del's former managerial partner at Leyton, Steve Newing, is set to be appointed in a Director of Football role at the Club'. What made me laugh was where it stated Deanus believes the position is vital in working with Club Executives, does he think he is at Chelsea or Man U and secondly Harry Redknapp said recently that Director's of Football do far more harm than good at Club's, the Welwyn Garden City hierarchy won't appreciate being told what to do as historically they are like shrinking violets when the going gets tough and I don't think their hearts are really into it.

There's plenty of interest on the Leyton Forum about Del and Steve's defection to Herns Lane:
