PS. Good luck to Del, I think he was the brains in the Steve/Del Edgware Town successes grin

Samuelsmiles - Your link didn't work but very interesting, I wonder whether Bilbo has packed his bags for Herns Lane yet:

No, I've just e-mailed him to find out, my guess is that there are underlying problems at Herns Lane that none of us are aware of

Obviously some serious problems if they can't get a team out, sure St Mags aren't going to be happy to miss out playing them when they are getting spanked every week!!

A Forum has kindly been provided for Welwyn Garden City by the Welwyn & Hatfield Times but it's barely used which is a shame:

A fair point however I would much rather be working for Welwyn Garden City Chairman Alan Thomas then for Leyton's Costas Sophocleous, at least Del won't turn up at Herns Lane to find the gates padlocked.

From the outside and from what i have heard only, it seems to me to be a committee problem and i am sure Del will find this in months to come.I am also sure if they are looking to progress to a higher level Del is the man for the job with his experience and loyal players who follow him from club to club.

Yes and don't forget the likes of Bilbo and Paul Gregory who follow Del and the former Edgware Town players around sheep like, what's the betting that they swerve Waltham Abbey v Leyton on Saturday and turn up at Welwyn Garden City's game with Chalfont St Peter at Herns Lane.

That's an interesting thought, If the ex Edgware players go from Leyton to Welwyn with Del they'll have a team capable of challenging for the title.

Blimey, I'm going to have to check the league table and see how far ahead the mighty Hares are.

Up the Hares and Up Yours, Samuel 'I hope this doesn't Costas' Smiles grin

We will re-kindle some old Spartan League friendships with the Citizens playing the Saints on Saturday.

Be keen to see who has made the move with the Dynamic Duo and hopefully a more stable platform to build on following the debacle at Leyton.

As the Citizens are currently languishing at the bottom of the Premier Division it will be a tough challenge for the boys but the travelling to E10 wont be missed by players and supporters alike.

This post is dedicated to Rhodent I bet I reel him in!!!

Stones1966 - Have you read the top two threads on the Leyton Forum, I have been rolling around the office floor all afternoon at the goings on at Lea Bridge Road as they really don't have a clue:

You are right some players played there last year when coming back to fitness and Dean Townsend is there as well.
