I have said many times I have no axe to grind with sweetman, I do not know him.But how many games and how much turn over of players do we allow him ?

Given that he took over late last season when we were as good as dead and buried and achieved some half decent results with the squad he had I think you have to give him a lot longer than this. The sides that are doing well in this division have shown consistency in terms of management and playing staff. He has built a squad and if we can keepn the bulk of that together it would be this time next season that I would be looking to judge him.

 

The aim of this season has to be mid-table security. Surely?

Absolutely. I think another important factor is how much training, player attitude and the players' belief in their manager has improved under Sweets.

 

If, come Christmas, we're near enough relegated, fair enough - let the questions about whether Sweets is right for STFC come, but until then I think he's done a decent job with the players he's got and has moved to fill holes where he can.

 

Slagging people off does nothing but promote bad morale. Personally, if I felt that strongly about that the management was doing a bad job, I'd go and speak to them personally, rather than write on a forum.

I do not know who Baby Faced Assasin is but he is the last frigging straw. Was not a bitch at him personally, but the whole way this is going. I tried to give an honest assesment of a team we are playing next week, who happen to be just down the road from me. So what if I added that I won third in the raffle, bit of a light touch. I have never attacked anyone on here, have even defended RWG on occasions. Have been following STFC regularly since 1986, but also saw them at Dolphin, and in 1973 final. I will be there saturday, if he wants to find me and tell me why he's having a pop, well and good. Do not expect me to post again, had enough of the intolerance. Registered users is not the way forward, common sense and decency is, but don't expect to find any on here any more!

BFA appears to be a Windsor fan, he has posted in their forum as well, so think you should take it with a pinch of salt. Understand your frustration and annoyance though.

I think that it was always going to be hard to get instant results this season, and mid table is definately a reasonable expectation, be it lower or higher mid table.

I think that with the players we havem, given time, we can push for higher position next season, and then look to get promoted. I would assume that the majority of teams in this league have played as a team (or majority) for a lot longer than we have so are expected to play better football than us.

I think that it's still to early to judge Sweets efforts, but I would certainly be happy with mid table this year, and I think he is doing a good job despite the inconsistant results.
