Very entertaining game and a welcome three points in awful conditions.

Went two up and had a third disallowed for offside. Let them back into the game just before half time and they levelled early in the second half.

Fantastic individual goal from Billy to win it, worthy to win any game imo.

Excellent displays throughout the team for me, although not really conditions for defending! Hope Tucker isn't badly injured and ok for next week.

A word for the ref - I thought he was one of the best, if not the best we've had this season.

Lets hope November is the month that starts our season properly.

I am so happy that we finally got a win!

I thought it was a good game with some end-to-end stuff, considering the weather conditions i thought both teams adapted well to it.

Good to see paul smith get his first goal against his former club, he seemed like a good player putting together some lovely passes. Adrians goal was a cracker and billy's goal was a well worked goal.

I thought we looked very sharp going forward, but lacked some pace at the back.

And who keeps sayin lynvall duncan is a ball watcher? From what i saw today he won most of his headers.

Vital for us to get the win, so got to be pleased with the result. I thought some of our play in the final third was very good as well with Smith and Deane combining well with Ferguson and Bricknell. Great goal from Billy to win it as well, although it almost didn't make it. Bit concerned about our defending - when we lost possession, particularly in the first half, it was all too easy for Margate to run straight through us.

The team what played:

Tucker

Marron Duncan Trott Dumas

Deane Hunter Smith

Semanshia Ferguson

Bricknell

Worster for Tucker

Heffer for Trott

Henry for Semanshia

The team what watched:

Buckfield

McSweeney Cole Clarey

BWG Game Dormer Wareham

Flack Burbridge

Billy's goal was well over the line. But it did take it's time going over the mud soaked line.

I thought both teams did very well considering the conditions.

A hard lesson for their keeper, Cheating never pay's

Is Tucker okay?

The Keeper went down holding his Face and got Fergie (i think) booked in the process.

After he made sure he got booked he then changed from holding his face to his ankle then his elbow moving swiftly on to his wrist. he eventually settled for his socks.

A critical result for us and with a fortnight until our next league game we have a good chance to get a few of the "crock xi" back on the pitch.

The conditions were atrocious but both sides made a decent fist of it although as a collective I thought we defended quite poorly today - I'll blame the conditions for that.....

We always look like we can score a goal though - a very well struck shot from Deane.

But I'll save the best til last. What a fantastic individual goal that was from Bricknell - For a player to stand up and win the game for us with such quality was a joy to watch.

Come on you Blues!!!

Not the best of performance IMO but its 3 points. fergie, bricknell, deane and worster well done. lets hope we keep hold of deane he has impressed me. billys goal was a great individual goal how long before he get snapped up?

A great save by ronnie in the dying minustes to keep us in the game.

I suppose you lot thought duncun had a good game, how many more times before people see that he isnt good enough along with trott and hunter shocking games. I wasnt that impressed with smith either.

By the way the ref had a good game that makes a change.

I thought Smith had a good game. Just what we need in mid field. As well as his great winning goal, I thought Billy played incredibly well through out the game as a loan striker( why was he a loan striker at home?). Next best was Steve with another good performance. Our big problem is at full back with both of them caught out of position especially Ashley. Ronnie did make a couple of important saves but, like Jack, he doesn't command his penalty area and so causes uncertainty in the defense. I hope Tucker is fit for our next match.

It's always interesting how different people see the game - I actually thought Ash had a decent game - the reason he seemed to be getting caught out of position was that he kept having to cover for Trotty who didn't have a good game. Second half, I thought we defended pretty well with Heffs in there for Trott.

In fairness to Trotty he said he was carying an injury and took pain killers before the game so your manager would have known. I interviewed him for Gate Radio after the game - you can listen to it on www.margate-fc.com (see news).

What a relief that was !! In comical conditions it made for a very entertaining game, and agreed about Billy's winner. Superb! Can we kick on from this - Lets hope so.

Cracking strike from "Deeeno" and a thumping header from Smith.

How desperate was Fergie to score ! And how unlucky that his goal was ruled offside. A big well done to the lads for the effort and desire. Much more like it.

Now, all we gotta do now is work on a clean sheet smile

And a note to Gazz grin Double check the lino first !! hehehe - that was a touch of quality which made everyone laugh and is what makes our football much more of a laff than the TV hyped up stuff - Oh, and i think the half time "themed" tune should be continued...We've had Nellie, we've had Banana Splits...Someone elses turn to shout for a "loony" tune !

Sometimes you look for that bit of luck that signals a change in fortune. Hopefully, the glaring second half miss from Margate and Bricknell's shot trickling over the line to win the game is the start of better things to come. Ferguson and Bricknell were quality and impressed with Deane again. Our away form is poor so the next 3 games are going to be vital and we'll need to tighten up defensively to get a decent return.
