Ash again pressed the self distruck button again. Another great first half saw them in control but just like Tuesday got over run in the second & conceded too many goals.

Scoreline flatters Chertsey as they scored 2 goals in the final 2minutes of the game but they used the wind & rain to their advantage very well in the second half. Still wondering if ref & assistant got their story right for the penalty.......lol.

Mind you - After ten minutes play, it WAS basically mud coloured !

Yes, not the best afternoon to try out the white shorts! What's all that about then? (Lester managed to keep his quite clean mind you wink )

Sorry I didn't say hello, was over the dug out side as usual undercover. I think you were hiding in the clubhouse when I arrived (and most of the first half!!). Went straight home when he called it off.

Frimley have signed a new centre half who looked rusty. He did clear one off the line and should have scored in the first half.

Desperation SL? wink

Farleigh 5 - Frimley 1

As ledge said, we took the lead from a retaken penalty. Farleigh then scored a worldie and then went in front shortly after. Some fat bloke managed to get his head in the way of another goalbound effort before Frimley hit the self destruct button and got what they deserved - again.

To make matters worse, the showers were cold and gave off electric shocks whenever the pipes were touched, then the fuse box exploded and Farleigh had to use haloween candles to light the bar!

some of you may recall a few posts about some of Dorkings unusual surnames.

It turns out A. Leathingy is not our sometime rightbacks real name, although thats the been on the chicks website and reports.

In the politically correct world of today the forum computer automatically censored his name which is the perfectly normal and innocent A. Leacock.

Well , it made me chuckle when I found out....

I would love to give a timescale to turn things round, you would always like to say the next game, but not always the case. Week on week a lot depends on who is available. I think only once we have named the same side two consecutive games running, but that is not an excuse at all because the players coming in should be good enough.

There is plenty for myself and SL to discuss.

We are not getting a hard time from the committee and they are sympathetic to the siutation.

In terms of coping, quite simply my love of the game keeps me coming back each week. I had to bribe someone 20 quid to cover my shift for me so that I could be at the game. Once of the players apologised after the game but I said it was my choice to do it.

Promotion is looking less likely now, but we will keep going and see what happens. If we can put a run together like last season, anything can happen.

i hope the dorking ad misquoted tony webb and will retract re the hanworth game.

TSF:- There was certainly a mis-quote on the web page as opposed to the paper report. I'm sure TW will not mind me posting his correction here, which Dan Jones of the Advertiser has apologised for and is going to correct.

"And I think you have misquoted re the Haworth game, I think I actually said 'it looked worse than it was' not that it was 'worse than it looked.'

Slight change in words appreciated but meanings are completely different.

Thanks."

I trust this helps TSF. (BJR)
