What happened last night

Recommended Posts

Alright, I'll copy and paste the message over to here...

--------------------

Last night, a question was raised with regards to the Supporters' Club view of EFM. I'm not quite sure of the relevance of the question, and what the questioner was expecting in terms of an answer, but still. The questioner made reference to a heated argument, and subsequent lecture, that he had seen, and asked the Supporters' Club if they had a problem with EFM. I thought it was a bit of a weird question.

Ian Rogers turned to me and asked if I would like to comment. I was of the belief that what goes on between members of the Firm and Mr. Gibson stay between members of the Firm and Mr. Gibson. My response was simple.

'Do you have a problem with EFM, Ian?'

'No.'

'Do the Supporters' Club have a problem with EFM?'

'No.'

As far as I considered, that was the end of the matter. AFF said a few words as well, of which I'm sure he will relay on here in due course.

Thanks GHA! You seem to put the point accross much better than me!

It was well out of order that that old bloke bought EFM up. It shouldn't be an issue. It really annoys me that "older" people seem to suggest that a group that are "well known" insite trouble etc..

I bet he's one of those old people that say "respect your elders" and "you should be seen and not heard", well i say if you want to be respected, respect others as well.

C.Hart. I believe that you should not slag the old boy off too much, as as old boys go, he is one of the better ones.

It was at the least intriguing for the subject of EFM to be brought up, as I can see no real answer to any question about EFM other than either a). I have no problem with EFM, or B) they should all be banned. And B) is not going to happen.

Perhaps the phrasing of the question could have altered the situation slightly, and perhaps the questioner (and I do know who he was) merely wanted to know what was going on, but his approach was as good as Cougar's landing at the beginning of Top Gun.

GHA, i was not slagging the bloke off, i was just merely stating that he seems (or the way in which he questioned the question) to have a problem with EFM and has automatically labeled them as a bad group (by the sound of the question).

He may not be a bad bloke, he may be a top quality geezer, but so are EFM.

That's not slagging him off?

Zeal, Costello, Thorns etc...A call to arms...

I may have only recently been expelled from EFM but I still feel I have the right to call the Firm my spiritual home at least...It is of my opinion that a 4-year reign in the supporters' club is at least 3 and a half years too long...since EFM has no way of democratically rejecting this oppression, I say rise...rise above it all and revolt...yeah, we needa check the interior...of the system who cares about only one culture...and that is why...We gotta take the power back...set the movement in motion with mass militant poetry...we need a movement with a quickness...you are the witness of change...and to counteract...we gotta take the power back...

For he that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother...

I don't view that as slagging someone off GHA. The comments i made there were merely what many old people say to youngsters and the youth.

He was questioning EFM and the way in which he stated the question obviously didn't go down too well.
