None of us bothered going, mate.

No, it wasn't an opportunity to get voted onto the commitee, in another 3 years you will have the chance to get voted on as that's when this comittee's time runs out.

 

All the meeting was about was whether instead of one coach to away games, there should be two, as some of the "older" fans don't want to waste any more of their saturdays by leaving way before kick off and having to return an hour or so after the game as they dont want to wait for the players.

 

Also, they need some suggestions for fundraising and other items on the agenda etc..

It should be done every year to make sure that those running the supporters club keep on their toes.

could you imagine if we got promoted every year since they have been elected wed be in the 2nd division and they would still be charge.

I seem to recall that when Costello and the Hooded Man were banned from the coach a year or two ago, it was just one person's decision, and it didn't even get put before the committee. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Were like the Ultras we have no official title but everyone knows that the Ultras run the club from top to bottom.

Same old story from the same people by the sound of it.

 

Why do they think that they have a right to be transported to away games (at as litle cost as possible) on their own terms.

 

I remember a game at Basingstoke that had a early kick off due to an England game, it being obvious that the coach would depart after the England game had finished. A few of the older generation lost the plot claiming it was a disgrace and they would never have come if they knew this was going to happen etc.

I know!!! When i hear them say "we have to leave early and have to wait around an hour and a half before kick off, and then have to wait around another 1 and a half after the game to wait for the players. It's a disgrace that we have to wait." It really annoys me.

Look, if you decide to have 2 coaches because 1 or 2 old people don't like it, then sorry, but that is bad financial sence. If you have to shell out a lot more cash for another coach, wouldn't you have thought to get rid of those 2 people that don't like it the way it is?
