Responding to posts

I must admit i do admire and have a lot of respect for those posters who choose to simply ignore provocative messages on here, not an easy thing to do when you see something posted which is obviously done to provoke a response. I for one do respond at times but in doing so fuel the fire and the poster gets the attention he so obviously craves.

Acrimony can be entertaining at times but the stuff of the last few days is poor.

who knows who this person is, maybe a slough supporter maybe not, maybe old maybe young, if he is a rebels fan of 40 years and loves the club what has he learnt, to lambast the management when they have hardly had a fair go,sniping at them when in my mind they have done a good job in steadying what could have been described as a sinking ship. If he is old what has he learnt, to call people dorks or insult peoples children.

Of course everyone has an opinion to express on here and ive come round to the view that the best answer is simply to ignore and not post to that particular thread but unfortunately its not easy and as soon as one person responds lots do and then it descends into the slanging match which he wants.

The sad thing in all this is that football is not being discussed and the fun is taken out of it, i enjoy hearing what people have to say about the team, tactics etc Not being able to get to away matches i enjoy hearing peoples reports not only of the match but what the ground is like etc.

So back to the my original thought it is my intention from now on not to respond to certain posts and try and be a bit more disciplined (we will see how that goes)

So how does everyone think we will do at Gosport ?

You have written a longish article here,so you have a passion and an interest in Slough I assume.

Wether its just another load of hot air or as I would like to think maybe you like to DEBATE issues, if I am right in thinking this can you tell me that has you have had your opinion on things, why is it that I cannot have mine without get threatened or slagged off by people who bury there heads in the sand( I say this because none of them have debated the issues at all, just preferred to believe they know best-end of subject).

I just think Sweetman is not experienced enough, tactically and spotting good players wise, I am sure many Spurs fans thought the same about their previous manager-and like me being a paying customer to Slough home games have a right to express opinions negative or not.

Yes I realise it was a mistake to wind the children up ie: staines rebel, windsor rebel, ted rebel and the various anons-but they asked for it with their infantile replies-not once did any of them debate the faults of the team or Sweetman.I always thought that was a part of a forums remit.

Oh and before some clever dick asks I am writing this from Portsmouth, so will be at the game.

"I just think Sweetman is not experienced enough, tactically and spotting good players wise," so that is why Sweetman has got more points on the board at this point in the season than the handfull of previous managers?

Yes I would like to see even more points on the board, but the squad is stronger than the last 3 seasons, so what exactly is he doing wrong?

I look forward to meeting you today at the match RWG as I have nothing to hide.
