Noticed that Aveley have scored only 7 goals in their 7 away games...leads me to think that Town might go close if they can tighten up their defence.

Watched a great game over here tonight...Sydney FC up 3-nil at half time...Central Coast fight back to salvage a 3-3 draw...two attacking sides with end to end stuff and some excellent goals and despite the score some excellent goal keeping.

And now they've scored 14... lost 4-7. Whilst the overall team performance wasn't that bad, the defending was truly awful at times.

It is called "NOT having a Defence"

We played 4 across back - changed two just after half time at 3 - 4 down.
All 6 used were crap.

At 4 - 4 I think every Town supporter thought we would go on to win BUT credit to Aveley - like it or not, they just kept pushing forward knowing our defence could not DEFEND !!!!!

"SOMETHING" NEEDS TO BE DONE !!!!!!!!!

We are okay going forwards BUT defending ***************

START - Across back line.
CAMPBELL - TICKNER - TAGUE ( CRAP AGAIN )- BASTIAN

Subs - Campbell and Tague OFF
Reece ( I think ) ON for Campbell and Okikiolu for Tague.
Neither Subs covered themslves in glory and in my view, were not "much" better that those they replaced.

Tague was crap in his first game and right back ( 45 mins ) and today ( 48mins ) at centre back.
Get rid NOW.

Coceeding 7 ( yes SEVEN ) is just an unacceptable performance for ANY TEAM at ANY LEVEL.

No team has the right for anything, but we "expect" Town to be better than this -- win, lose or draw.

We didn't lack any ot those attributes and could / should have had at least another 6 ....long winter ahead with that defence !!

Credit to the groundsmen - that pitch was brilliant, drained well throughout and even after teeming rain still kept the grass on the surface.
