Harlow Town - Billericay Town has just been abandoned during the secong half we were leading through Billy Bricknell's 36th minute goal.

Reason:Snow/Waterlogged pitch the referee deemed the the field of play was dangerous and unplayable after torrential weather conditions in the area.

Good call by the ref really. i was getting a little cold. lol

The lads were sliding all over the shop towards the end. Super penalty save by Tucker.

Fergies cross to billy secured our goal.

Cracking game last night and played in terrible conditions. In my opinion we played our best football this season, passing the ball around nicely, with Fergie having an excellent match. Billy and Adrian also stood out and Tucker dealt confidently with everything thrown at him.

All credit to the Town faithful who made the trip - I hope Gazza has dried out now from his lonely position behind the goal!!!

Excellent photos on the Town site, really shows how the weather changed throughout the game - well done Amanda!!

Looking forward to the re-match on the 11th.

I have to agree - apart from not being atall prepared for the arctic conditions myself, it was a thoroughly entertaining game. Agree with previous comments that Fergie had a great game - topped by a great run to set up Billy's goal. Maybe he feels more at home playing in sub zero conditions, although I did hear him yell to the ref while waiting to start the second half "hurry up, its #%$@*

Just caught up with this thread

I don't get to many BT matches these days but this was one of them

I agree with one of the first posts here , ie that it was quite an enjoyable evening (though the first couple of miles through Harlow on the way home were a bit scary).

highlights on the field was the way the Town man sprinted past the Harlow 3 to expertly set up the goal and the fine goalkeeping performance - assuredness and, of course, a penalty save.

The other highlight is the brilliant pictures. The ground's lighting gave the early pictures (eg as the teams lines up) an almost spring look, yet the later ones expertly captured the falling and laying snow and deteriorating visibility. All told a memorable night even though it will be swept from the record (yellow card excepting) as if it never happened

we know it did though, don't we.

Isn't that how Bill & Ben used to end? Or was it Andy Pandy?
