Dorking v Hanworth

Final score: Dorking 4-3 Hanworth.

Just getting my breath back! Enthralling game, Chicks unbelievably 3-0 up after four and a half minutes (the first coming after 15 seconds) with Villa all over the shop - in fact Chicks even managed to sky another effort over the bar just before the third goal! Villa came back into it and only a great save just before half-time prevented them going into the break having reduced the arrears. Villa got their goal on 55 minutes after starting the second period with purpose, but Bennett went straight up the other end to score Dorking's fourth and (i think) get his hat-trick. Villa got a second through a penalty and then with ten minutes to go got a third after a good bit of football. We then faced the prospect of extra time and freezing to death.

Here the fun really starts. Villa's 9 punches a Chick and off he goes. Moments later more fisticuffs leads to a free for all and two more reds, one for each side. Play resumes but one of the Villa players seems more intent on seeing what is happening in the changing rooms than getting on with the game, but he finally sees sense and comes back. Chicks hang on, the ref blows up as quickly as he can get away with and it's swift handshakes all round.....(well sort of).

Life's never dull at Meadowbank. Oh and TSF missed the first 3 goals grin

yes i Bloody Did miss the first three trs.

Polish twat of a taxi driver left right backwards,, grrrr

trs was on the coffee whilst I as usual was on the 90 percent.

took my 13 year old daughter and her pal to their first game

having missed the first three goals I was amazed chicks were three up as after fifteen minutes Hanworth Villa battered the chicks goal.

ht 3 0 dorking.

had a chat in the bar with various villains and chicks definatley both teams putting out their best sides for this cup game and anything could happen second half was the general view.

last twenty minutes was a disgrace to football and I hope gets dealt with. I saw a player just punch another straight out and so did ref who red carded offender.

However in a crowd watching of maybe 20 people, somehow people are jumping out the stand to get on the pitch, players are running off the pitch to get in the changing rooms, subbed players are back on the pitch, total chaos.

Daughter says no wonder you always go to football

final score dorking four or more hanworth three or less

red cards three or four.

no idea what occured in changing rooms but I did see what happened in car park.

When I have to ask my daughter to stay away from the window at a football match in coco one what the ferking hell is going on.

for all my abuse of the board at Dorking fc over the last year on this website, and following on from our visits to park sides in the last two weeks I have to say tonight's game must be the most sickening sight our chairman has faced in his time at the club.

Totally unacceptable behaviour all round, a magnificent game of football ruined.

a very sad day.

no not a niggly game but asking around afterwards there had been plenty of verbals from the Dorking boys on the pitch and "they couldnt take the banter" was one reason offered.

One or two of our players tend to get a little cocky with the stepovers and side glances, Its disrespectful and doesnt help.

Not the first time we've had a player sent off for fighting this season, more suspensions and fines the club dont need.

still got to play villa twice, lets see who is billy big whotsits at the away game.

Its Feb. 14th. TSF ding ding round 2. I think that some of the Dorking players might throw a sickie that day.

Seriously though both clubs could be in a bit of bother depending on the referees report. I've just spoken to someone who was at the game and he seems to think that the DFC players were the instigators.

Villa no 9 throws a punch, straight red . straightforward to deal with.

what happened later is more tricky. The headbutts and shoving eaching other on the pitch happens.

what shouldnt happen is crossing the white line .

Its possible the first guy to do that was a Dorking player who had been subbed running on to get involved, Thats what a villa player was telling me at the time.

It still should never have escalated to players going off the pitch into changing rooms, players fans officials going on to pitch.

It looked like it could get VERY nasty at one point.

Ref sent off one from each side, could have sent quite a few. Couple of minutes left ,never really settled down and then apparently it carries on in dressing rooms and Carpark.

RIGHT - I've had a couple of days to cool down and discuss the situation with various people.

Hanworth players don't seem to be able to take a little bit of verbal banter on the pitch and react accordingly.

I saw three punches thrown. I think the referee spotted two.

The changing room incident at the end of the game was when a Hanworth supporter burst in, looking for one of our players and had to be physically removed which resulted in some of our players having to be told to 'cool-it' before all hell broke loose.

There was an incident in the car park when some of their supporters/team members decided to have another go at one of our players. Myself and some of our coaching staff ordered all our players into the club-house until Hanworth had left for home.

Some of the comments made to DFC supporters and especially the Asst. Ref on the club-house side of the pitch were absolutely dispicable.

For the record, the Referee and his assistants stayed in the club-house until we closed the bar and seemed fine over the incident.

No wonder they call Hanworth ground Beirut. I hear that when a certain team went away and beat them at their home ground, they found their tyres slashed in the car-park after the game.

WHAT AN ADVERT FOR FOOTBALL !

Match report from DFCNews:-

"Dorking got their third win on the spin last night in the Lemon Recordings ccl division 1 cup against 2nd placed hanworth villa

Dorking were 3-0 up in 6 minutes as the visitors took time to settle with goals from Phil Page and two from Dan Bennett. Hanworth pulled a goal back early in the second half, but Bennett then got his hattrick straight away to make it 4-1

Hanworth pulled back two more but it was too little too late especially when Villa had two players sent off in the closing stages, with a Dorking,s Terry Fennessey also receiving his marching orders, as the visitors ran out of steam

Dorking next play Sheerwater at home on Saturday, KO 3pm"
