Why do people assume managing a small football club is not a regular job?

 

Is there some suggestion that people like Ashby are such superstars they have agents hammering out deals on their behalf?

 

Or that he was in such demand the club would have had to offer a compensation clause to avoid losing him?

 

I agree with whoever said above it's none of our business, but hey, it is meant to be entertainment after all, and we're not getting much on the pitch.

Suprisingly though some footballers do have agents at this level

Classic example of that was Mark Green. Promising young left-back, his agent convinced him he could go on to better things, if I remember correctly. Think he's at a lower level now?
