Transfer Listed People

Well yesterday's line-up suggested that Flackie and Buckfield might be amongst the names announced - pleased that Buckfield is only going on loan as he still has a lot to offer in my opinion. We're very lucky to have three excellent young keepers at the club.

Little bit surprised to see Hunter on the list as he always seems to be popular with managers. I don't know if Deane is the long term answer (he is only on loan after all) and I would like to see us try and bring in a holding midfield player if possible.

Change is often painful but imo changes had to be made.

I think it's important to remember that it's not always certain that transfer-listed players leave (remember Calder lol)and that we make sure that Leon and Joe continue to get the backing of the fans while they're still here

I agree with the players on transfer list, leon is not good enough and does nothing during the games. Im a bit surprised by flack as he could be a goalscorer and we dont a replacement striker yet.

maybe another 3/4players need to go who isnt good enough for this league and club.

Majorly dissapointed that Joe Flack has been transfer listed, but not so for Leon i think his time has come and passed now and we need to move on from him.

Glad Buckfield is only on a loan because this will give him some more experience and he can also improve as a player wherever he is loaned out too.

My interpretation is that Jack has gone nowhere... yet. It's just been decided to make him available for loan, and keep Bertie as number 2 to Tanya.

Ya i agree with most of the post's surprised to see Joe Flack on it. But if he is only available for loan then that could be a bonus as he has not come back from his injury as sharp as he normally is.

Well I'm surprised about Joe. It takes a long time for a player to get over a long absence from the game (remember Danny Hockton) and to some, that could be the reason he hasn't been firing on all four cylinders...

...There is always the cash implications to take into consideration as well.

...but as jl said, it's not always certain when a player is put on the list, they go...and considering the season we're having at the mo...Well, after Trotty's sending off, who knows what will happen next...

I am surprised by Flackie and Hunters transfer. Everyone is taking it as read that they were put on there! Were they? Or was it the players request? Cant see the club wanting to put these 2 up. Flackie has struggled coming back from injury but lets not forget being top scorer last season won us a majority of our games. Can we really afford to loose a player like this??

Well as we saw in the chairmans blog, it was pointed out that the vast majority of the squad accepted a wage cut, not everyone. So maybe these 2 players didnt?

I don't think we can compare these players to last season. Bricknell has been doing the hard work and scoring most of our goals this season, they even turned our games around from coming behind to win.

Just remember, these 2 players might not be able to find a club that wants them, so they still might not go.

Just because flacky is on the transfer lis doesnt mean he will go. Burbs hasnt played many games this season, he can't help it that he broke his wrist, so we will have to see how he does wehen he returns..

And whos to say that billy is likely to be off the peterborough in the new year?

It seems Jo Flack and Shavsey WERE made Scapegoats for the defeat at Concorde. Jo has been FINED TWO WEEKS wages for his dismissal. No wonder he wants to go. I truly hope Trotty gets fined the same amount.

It seems the Chairman is trying to make up for lost revenue

I don't know for sure, but could a fine be the standard disciplinary procedures for a straight red that is deemed by the Management to be a fair decision made by the referee?

I believe League clubs and the FA have adopted similar sanctions to maintain discipline in football.
