Trott sent off for us on 72 min for 2nd yellow. Welcome to Billericay Robin. As i mentioned in the Clubhouse please make that your last one. lol

Both sets of supporters seem to agree that the ref was whistle happy (must be a small person thing)

Nice set of supporters up from Ramsgate.

Right that's the story of the game out of the way, now let's talk about the arrogant little p***k in the middle of the field who strutted around and completely destroyed a game of football. I'm pretty sure we have seen this ref before - possibly a preseason evening friendly when he was just as bad.

There must have been about 10 bookings, a totally unreasonable sending off for Robin Trott as well as a strict talking to both managerial crews. The game was played in reasonable spirit, there was hardly a bad tackle and yet the little man was still able to find any excuse for a free kick or card. Totally unfair in these difficult times for the crowd to be cheated by Mr Wood (they don't publish the officials home towns these days and you can see why!!) Perhaps he should pay us our entrance fee back.

I hope that the officials of both clubs will make formal complaints to the powers that be and get this bloke kicked out of football.

As to the game, the new keeper looked confident, I though Steven Ferguson played well but we did look a bit short of confidence. But we fought back well and thoroughly deserved our draw. Perhaps next week we will get a chance to play football.

The referee's performance was absolutely farcical - I made it 12 players booked despite there not being a bad challenge in the whole game. It got to the point where the players on both sides were pulling out of challenges as they knew that even if they won the ball they would end up in the book.

Thought we played OK in places - Ferguson and Wareham did well, Deane sprayed the passes around as well. We need to get players up alongside Billy as he was isolated for long spells. Tucker did well in goal I thought, seemed comfortable under the high balls they launched at us.

The ref was rubbish!!! Im sure it was the worst and most embarasing performance i have ever seen, however, most, if not all the refs have been like that this season, most ryman refs are like this now, we need to get used to it.

To the performance, i agree with simon, i thought we did ok in places, wareham again had a good game before he got injured. Coming back from behind twice is good, it shows we worked well to get something out of the game. However i think both of their goals were poor to give away like that. Nothing the keeper could do about them though and i thought he had a good game.

To the penalty, was it a penalty? From where i was standing, it didnt look like one. It looked like their player had chested the ball, so again the ref could have got that wrong, which is no surprised as he got everything else wrong.

I agree that the ref ruined the game BUT it is nothing unusual for this season. We have seen some shockers this season and they are influencing results for every club in the league.

I thought we did okay in part. Their goals were really defending nightmares for us. Billy's goal was a team effort and how much pressure was there on Flackie for the penalty take? Typically, he rose to the challenge and slotted it away. With ten men on the pitch, the team did well to pull the game back...twice.

Onwards and upwards guys...lets not "the man in the middle" ruin our enjoyment and look to the positives in todays game.

Comments made by the rams fans, and ours, sums up the ref accurately imo.

yeh, that happens sometimes CRFC Boss, anyway, I felt sorry for our players and supporters today, the entertainment was spoilt by a display of incompetence imo.

Away from the result, I was heartened by a united front from our lads, If ever I question the commitment again, someone, just remind me of today.

Thanks guys!

Com'on you blues

I was encouraged by our performance, I thought we played well, a good team game, Wareham (until his injury) and Ferguson worked the wings well, Trott showed his experience by controlling the mid field, and a confident start for Tucker in goal. Totally agree with the comments on the diabolical REF, hopefully a report on his performance will go to the authorities.

It was ascrappy game i thought, with the ref making things difficult for both teams. I think that there are 1 or 2 players that are not really proving themselves and it doesnt look like they want to play for the club, but i could be wrong.

As for the ref, i think to be as young as he was, with an assessor watching, he was under a lot of pressure. He was a young ref, so i doubt he had a lot of experience. He's not the only bad 1 that we have had this season, probably the worst performance, but im sure there are going to be other bad ones.

altough the ref was bad he was not to blame, Teams like ramsgate we should be beating. I felt that we had good spells with fergie and number 10 not sure his name doing well. Trott at the back for me done nothing aprt from experience he hasnt got much else. Maybe he was a bit rusty i dont no.

I dont no how people cant see it but again duncun looked lost follows the ball and is always getting covered by the other defenders, maybe the reason i notice things like this because i used to play defence and when i watch a game of football i concentrate on defenders. He is to weak for this league and he is a div 1 player. tucker done well couple good catches and saves.

Altough we got a point things need to get better quick or we will be in a relegation battle this early in the season.

I was a bit surprised at the starting line-up and set-up but I suppose the listing of Flack makes that a little clearer now.

It looked like it was definitely our intention to keep things tight early on and as a result chances were fairly scarce in the first half. We have to be disappointed with the goals we conceded though, I think the first came from one of our corners and the second a completely free header at the back stick (presumably where Trotty would have been).

That said to come from behind twice with 10 men to get a result is a creditable effort in my view - the lads kept going to the end and got their reward.

Of the new lads I was the most impressed with Tucker, his handling was confident and assured and he was blameless for the goals.

I completely disagree with Steve about Lynvall Duncan. I think he's been a great find for us. I would agree that his positioning is his weakest point, but that's hardly unusual for a young player and that's why you put an experienced centre-half next to him. He is strong, good in the air, pretty quick and has shown a first-class attitude. In my view he is a better option than Clarey or Heffer (Or Dormer - lol) in that position.

I appreciate that referees have to learn somewhere but the lad yesterday (Daffyd) was miles out of his depth.

Ramsgate sometimes seem to get a bit of stick but Jim Ward's a top bloke for a bit of banter. I enjoyed the game but I do hope we can start winning soon.

Come on you Blues!!!
