I have questions for you;

 

The first why do you continue to fill your day with boring dribble in the form of message board rants?

 

The second is why do you slate the Windsor fans and our club when you choose to follow a club whom are not a quality playing football side. Last season they were relegated and somehow saved by the economics of the football board rooms. This season you are playing some bad football and seem to have a discipline problem. You follow a club who are a disorganised and could have continued to play at the meadow if you could bother your arses to pay the rent. You haven

I stopped when I read "you choose to follow a club whom are not a quality playing football side". We are playing some very good football. We drew 3-3 with Truro today and should have won. The defending has let us down but we have strengthened now, so let's see what happens in the rest of the season.

Just seen your result from today. Well done to the Rebels for holding the non-league Chelsea. I'm happy to see that... Maybe it is a sign of the turn from your recent form!

It is most odd that you would choose to live in windsor and yet dislike the local football team and why would you want to move out of the town of the football team you support to live 3 miles down the road.

I'm sure you did well going forward but yet again let in quite a few goals. You seem to be abit like the Windsor side we had under Simon Lane! Whilst you'll have good games you'll also come unstuck from time to time.

 

I do hope you have improved, I've yet to see a Windsor Slough game were the result wasn't easy to guess before the game, but it seemed before the Windsor game some of your fans expected playoffs. Then you lose to us and to Thatcham in the trophy. Suddenly a good draw against Truro and your back to play off contenders! You've only beat Taunton, Cirencester Town and andover in the league. Hardly play off form

I agree with you! We are leaking too many. Against you lot we only had two defenders available, were still short against Thatcham and we had two new ones playing today. But then bear in mind Truro are a very good side who are always going to score goals. And we lost to Cinderford and Windsor who are two of the best sides in this league. I'm not saying things are perfect now by a long way, but I think things will settle down and we'll be more of a solid unit eventually.

 

I think it's important to keep a consistent squad together to be successful, which is what Windsor have done from last season (but also Truro and many others) and I also think you're a bit more streetwise now it's your third season in this league. As for us, we had a radical overhaul of last season's rubbish squad and are still building. I don't think we will make the playoffs, but it would be nice to put in a decent challenge.

We are 11 games into the season (or less in most other team's case) and think the early pace setters are those that you would expect to see. Slough are not in those early pace setters and their poor start to the season is to blame. One very good result against Truro does not suddenly make them a good team, conceding 11 goals in 2 games doesn't make them a poor team but as Woody pointed out they were not one offs, but the good result was.

As for the level of support, well Windsor have always been inferior in numbers but have managed to make a louder and more diverse sound. As for numbers of fans Windsor are about half way in this league and are well followed away "for this level". So half ar$ed comments about no support are merely crowing comments from a side that has dropped from conference to what should have been feeder league this year. Where have all of your fans gone? Windsor have not lost that many, we were just never well supported, but Slough used to get over 1,000 every week in the conference (it was a long time ago but sure you used to get lots), so not terribly loyal then. People in glass houses and all that!!!

Quite, which is why I must take issue with some of the incendiary, lazy comments levelled at Slough Town at the start of this thread.

That is twaddle. We had no issue with paying a landlord rent, we simply didn't believe that our money was best spent at Stag Meadow. We've been very happy at Beaconsfield this last season and this, though I gather Stag Meadow looks good this season (I wasn't able to make Tuesday due to work commitments)

You've not mate much noise at any of the recent derbys actually .But christ who actually gives a crap!? It's non-league football! It shouldn't be about petty rivalry. Yes it's great to beat your local sides but we should be able to get along afterwards. I was talking to two slough fans in the stag and hounds after the match and they seemed a decent bunch and i know a few slough fans who are an alright bunch.

 

Infact Charlie didn't someone try swapping me with Dave programmes a few years back!? I think it was you who was there

Indeed I was Woody - and for the record I agree with you. Banter is good and most fans can get on after the whistle blows for full time. I've never had an issue with Windsor fans and used to enjoy the Stag and Hounds over the road.

 

By the way, have just read the "travelling support" thread and can now see why certain folks have taken issue with Windsor Rebel...

 

I hear Mr Scott was watching our game today? I do hope he's not hoping to poach any of our players...
