Javine Hylton

Does anybody have sympathy for Javine Hylton, the girl who 'found fame' on the ITV hit show 'Popstars The Rivals', making it to the final six but, amid much controversy, was not selected to be in the now World famous group. Fans of Javine claimed that they were not able to vote when they dialled the number and they heard a recorded message thanking them for voting for rival contestant Sarah Harding who is now worshipped by males the World over. Javine later became a solo artist and she narrowly beat Jordan to represent the UK at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest however her ditty 'Touch My Fire' flopped badly and I think finished last. Just over a year later Javine started a sordid affair with So Solid Crew singer MC Harvey who was married at the time to Alesha Dixon, as a result she was bombarded by hate mail. Harvey later split with Dixon and unsurprisingly 'knocked up' Javine who had the baby in February this year.

My point for debate is where would Javine have been now if she had been successful in joining the group Girls Aloud as many people felt she should have done on merit.

I don't expect you to have heard of Girls Aloud as they're not known in the States and aren't you in your 50's.

I am sure he has access to youtube, and is fully aware of Girls Aloud...in fact, I think last week, they were all over the New York Times, like a rash

I have heard that Suzanne Shaw was joining the band or is that just hearsay.

I've been thinking about Javine lately and what might have been for her, she missed being in Girls Aloud by a whisker and is now up to her elbows in dirty nappies instead of a World superstar with millions in the bank and men falling at her feet.
