The thing that pisses me off about the NME is not so long ago they were slagging off Coldplay and Chris Martin for being boring but now they think the sun shines out of their backsides!

I hate the way that they hype bands, in particular The Strokes who not so long ago were always on the front cover. I only tend to read it occasionally although I did buy the NME Oasis special edition when it was out a few months ago and that was excellent!

Coldplay make dull, miserable MOR toss. The fact that they're one of the better bands around at the moment speaks volumes for the current state of the music industry.

This made me laugh...

LIAM GALLAGHER has called COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN a "knobhead student" for expressing strong anti-war views at a fundraising show.

The Oasis singer slammed Martin for his comments at the band's Teenage Cancer Trust show In London on Monday (March 24), where he encouraged the sell-out crowd at the Royal Albert Hall to "sing against war".

Gallagher also labelled Martin's Oscar-winning actress girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow a "gawky bird".

The verbal assault came after Gallagher appeared as a special guest at Richard Ashcroft's Teenage Cancer Trust show at the same venue on Wednesday (March 26).

He told The Sun : "When Coldplay did this gig they banged on about the war, that's wrong. Chris Martin shouldn't be using this cause to bang on about his own views on the war. If him and his gawky bird want to go banging on about the war they can do it at their own gigs.

"That lot are just a bunch of knobhead students - Chris Martin looks like a geography teacher. What's all that with writing messages about Free Trade on his hand when he's playing. If he wants to write things down I'll give him a pen and a pad of paper. Bunch of students.

"These gigs are about kids who have got cancer, they've got to fight a war every day of their lives. That's what we're all here doing this for."

Nice one Liam! The guy is a God!

Agree about Coldplay. Something that really made me laugh was some bloke describing Coldplay's performance of 'Clocks' at this years Brit Awards and saying that it really 'rocked'. Rocked!! What f...g planet is this guy on! I don't know about rocked but I was banging my head against the wall trying to get rid of the severe depression that had taken over me.

What has the music scene come to if somebody can turn around and say Coldplay 'rocked'?

See that's the NME again CZ, the one's who dedicated 10 pages to loving them.

Personally I quite like Coldplay, Two reasonable albums, nothing earth shattering, but not wholly unpleasant. I think the problem is they are over-hyped and there's not a huge amount of new, good British acts about, but when people start saying this lot are going to be bigger than the like of U2, you have to ask how that's gonna happen after just 2 albums?

Just look at what Oasis was at 2 albums and now, while I like them, they never have reached the heights of What's The Story?

Whereas Radiohead, the greatest band in the world, kick [****!!****], they have from Day one, well actually The Bends onwards, Pablo honey wasn't that great! Why because they're genuinely inventive and I like them.

Notice this message has no bias whatsover!

Sorry Claire, the temptation was too great, I just held back from saying they probably all listen to inbred fm as a closing punchline!!

I think if you check everyone's record collection there will be a few sheletons in the cupboard.. I think even I have a Robbie album somewhere, we all live and learn.
