Zara's (eldest grand-daughter), foot broke down again yesterday at Meadowbank playing for The Chix and she had to be carried off and taken straight to hospital.

Diagnosis unsure. Possibly very severe tissue damage caused by dislocated metatarsul (sp ?).

Prognosis even worse. Possibly out of competative football for 9 months.

On the bright side, Dorking went away and WON ! Chelski took a 2nd team away and completely trounced the opposition, and Lewis Hamilton was brilliant.

Are NHS A & E specialists any good ?

Dorking FC's Physio gave Zara's foot a good once-over and ultra-sound on Tuesday evening and has started ultra-sound treatment. He reckons a very light training session tonight to see how she gets on and he'll see her again next Tuesday.

NOW HERE'S A QUESTION......

He'd like to see the X-Ray plates taken at Epsom General Hospital last Sunday.

Have you ever tried to get hold of your X-Rays plates from a hospital ???

I know that in just about every other country, you OWN your plates. We're still trying to get copies.

RANT OVER !!!!

when I busted my leg, the hospital tried to give me the x-rays and i said no - big mistake as they are handy for physio. In the end, I managed to get a digital photo taken of them and emailed to me.

The could be an alternative for you.

Cheers for that, guys.

I'll get her Mum to contact our GP and see what he can do.

Our Physio just wants to check that they haven't possibly missed a tiny stress fracture, which apparently can be quite commonly missed at a quick glance.
