I appreciate that there are those that will think that this isn't the right place to be discussing such matters, so aplogies to them.

However, The question raised by HF is exactly that raised last year, but in the reverse (Stay with me!). The board had courted Ramos before there was any reason to sack the manager of the time. There was no moral, business or football reason apparent. A poor start was all the board needed to get rid of the man bought in by a previous director of football, Frank Arnesen. Statistically, Jol was the 2nd most successful manager in the clubs history, I believe. And he was only with the club a couple of years!

So after another poor start (which is an annual event for us y1ddos!), we are being bombarded with the same old story. Personally, I believe that they should not sack Ramos, just as they should not have sacked Jol. Chairman Levy (for owners ENIC) has a lot of experience, and should learn from this. Jol did not become bad at his job overnight (but the board thought the grass was greener on the Ramos side), neither has Ramos himself. Jol was sacked amid a policy of buying and developing mainly young British talent first, then young European talent second. A policy like this smacks you right in the face as one that takes time to come into fruition (parallels with MFC?). Not afforded this time, the board spent heavily under Ramos on foreign players that have not cut the mustard. However, amid the totting up of pounds spent, we should not forget that under Ramos, Spurs have banked around

Out biggest mistake was getting rid off Jol, even though at the time i did want Jol to go, but that was mainly because of the way Spurs treated him and you could tell he was no longer happy at the club. We are on the verge of making a bigger mistake which is by Sacking Ramos, he needs to stay. The people that need to go are Levy and Comolli

Levy, I'm not so sure. I think he has to learn to play the long game if he wants to run a successful football club (you hear him talk about a 'successful business model', but for that we must win things as well as finance ourselves) - everything else is in place with him. As for Comolli, he must have some dirt on Levy - I just can't find any reason to justify his employment at all. Not one.
