Important notice

Many supporters including die hard & long term supporters are showing concerns & holding back on donations for fear that the donated monies might "get lost" should the club fail to find the necessary amount for the taxman with or without our help,or not find ways to get this club out of the predicament we are in.

Be assured all monies raised will NOT be lost. You have my word on that.

MISA are "shielding" & "protecting" all monies that are donated.

The appeal fund is safe & will be used specifically for the purpose it was intended. It will not be lost and will not be handed over to the club for them to use on other expenditure.

If anyone has any questions or are still further concerned,

despite the above assurances please do not hesitate to ask.I will endeavour,on M.I.S.A.s behalf to answer them.

I would therefore ask those supporters that I have I mentioned to please join in by "pledging your support" to the club as others have done already.

Forms can still be acquired from me.(delivery can be made).

For those that do NOT come on the forum & fall into the category that I mention, can others inform them of the above assurance please.

N.B All pledged monies MUST be in by or on 23rd November,no later please.

Many thanks to those who have already contributed/pledged to the fund.

  • 2 weeks later...

Despite the possible/probable CVA news the club COULD yet still find the necessary amount with or without our help so your/our pledged amounts may still be vital.

Please,PLEASE,still honour those pledges or continue to donate before the appeal closing date on 23rd November.

Further news on where the money is & where if anywhere it will be going will be forthcoming but in the meantime, rest assured, all donations are safe & will not be going anywhere or be used for anything other than was intended.

Thank You.

I am sure most MFC Fans would like to see the Club continue in it's current format but with a much stronger board and better off the field organisation to ensure that we never get into this position again. To that end for the time being we have to battle on as a united front to try and resolve the financial issues that are threatening the closure of the club that we all love. If and i repeat ONLY if we lose the battle to continue as we are then i think all MFC fans would agree to the financial pledges being used to help form a new AFC Margate to ensure that we still have a club to follow.

I prey that this course of action will not be necessary and that the issue can be resolved on the 26/11/08.

Can anyone update us on the amount p[ledged to the fighting fund so far. Thanks

A) Club wound up - Still a possibility
If the club were to fold (god forbid) the fans will get their say as to where this money goes. I'm not a decision maker in MISA only a mere member but I have had a lot to do with this appeal & I know for a fact that this has been discussed & as far as I am aware the fans will decide how best to use the money collected. This is ONE of the reasons why MISA has protected it.

B) CVA acceptable - Probable outcome but not assured
Taking into account the small percentage raised, though still in my opinion a cracking effort, the majority of this bill will have to be made, somehow,by the club so if the club can show absolute proof that the bill has been paid in full, whenever that may be,then,& only then should they get that which was raised,as that was the sole purpose of the appeal to start with & which would only be fair & correct.

C) Full Payment now - Seems a no goer
Its just a shame some company, individual or the club,by whatever means, couldn't or wouldn't stump up a substantial amount to go with the fans financial support to have helped do away with this threat right now.(this was always a mighty long shot but not an impossibility).
