Something to look forward to at the Truro game...

The player of the month votes are in, and I'm delighted to say that Dean Harper is August/September's player of the month. Dean will be presented with a bottle of champagne at the next home game, which is against Truro on the 25th of October.

 

Thanks to the 70+ of you who voted this month, we'll be repeating the process for October player of the month on 8th November game at home to Bishops Cleeve.

 

On a seperate note, I think it's worth mentioning that nine players were nominated this month, which I believe shows what a team effort September was.

 

Here's hoping we can put the last two matches behind us quickly and move on...

Yes, well, a week is a long time in football. Dean did put in some stellar performances in September and one would hope this small token of the fans' appreciation of that would make him think twice about making costly, and wholly avoidable, mistakes in future.

Agree, in September Harper played some of his best football since he's been at the club.

 

Unfortunately it's not the first time that he's been sent off for something that defies belief. Didn't he get sent off last year after the final whisle had gone for arguing with the ref?

 

I think he needs to smarten up rather quickly.

In Harper's defence, this seasons bookings have all been for tackles rather than dissent. He's learnt that lesson from last season.
