a very physical game at the bridge tonight with the visitors setting their stall out early with a couple of nasty hacks on elliot styles and mark janney which the hapless one in the middle ignored....

 

now there is no doubt that tonbridge can play a bit and there is no doubt that their strike force can score goals but tonight they got themselves embroiled in a war of attrition which they were never going to win.....styles and curley dominated the show with their physical presence in midfield leaving janney and tommo all the space on the flanks to feed the hard running lee and green up front...under pressure the defence dealt with everything and restricted angels to two attempts on target....

 

apart from a spell either side of the break this was an excellent and dominating urchin performance with a cracking elliot header...a janney pen and a suppa duppa krissy lee special....

 

the angels lost their halos well before the end in a rash of spiteful tackles that should and would have led to several red cards if the hapless one had even half a clue (which he didn't)....fortunately no one was hurt although after three games in a week the urchins will most certainly be a little stiff come the morning...the running war of words between jamie and rook was pure theatre in itself and proves the old adage that players should not get embroiled in slanging matches with coaches...jamie 10 rook 0...

make no mistake this was a massive result for us against a very good footballin side.for long periods of the game we were second best.luckily they left there shootin boots at home or it could have bin a different story .but everyone realises there is a togetherness about our team and when the angels started to lose there heads we kept ours and see us through to a 3 nil win still think the angels will be there or there abouts .referee watch 4 out of 10 ,he was not very good let us say,onwards and upwards now a little run startin now me thinks

once the second goal went in yes we dominated but the first half we looked very edgy and second to the ball, and the ball just seemed to be in our poxy 18 yard box all the time
