Im starting a can we keep Lee Butcher for the season thread , i have just watched the video clip on the other thread of the Dartford game and his catch was superb as well as keeping 3 clean sheets in the 4 games the lad has had so far for us . He is helping to make such a differance to our side and has obviously made a big differance to the back 4 . If you have a confident keeper the back 4 are confident and this will flow through the team as it seems to be doing now . So come on Margate do your best and keep the lad im sure he will appriciate a season of 1st team footy and enjoying himself instead of a season as a bench warmer fighting religation with the Spurs . Up the Gate .

Completely agree, we need to do all we can to keep him for as long as possible. He's a superb keeper: good shot-stopper, commanding in the box (taking so much pressure off the defence) and has good, quick distribution. His contribution would prove priceless if we could keep him all season.

Well Scott did play last night, looked a bit nervous at times I thought, also Pat at game and asked him how he was doing and he said will be back in training on Thursday.

With SCS and mullins both returning-plus Krunic and beresford 'in the wings'; i can't see it being very likely that Butcher will be kept on-even if Tottenham were to allow it.

I heard Matt Bowles has had his operation on his arm and should be back training this week or next.

i dont consider that good news. the last few times i saw him last season he was absolutely shocking! i think he let in 4 or 5 against in the last home game of the season...

The last game of the season we won 1 ,0 away with Matt Bowles in goal and our new manager watching who by all reports was impressed. I watched and he had an excellent game as the whole team did. I think all the keepers we have are excellent, last year everyone was having a go about SSS look at him now, confidence seems to be coming back. We seem very blessed in goal not like the other side of Thanet.
